Welcome to Me and B Support at Home……
A small new enterprise offering support both inside and outside of your home. Covering Ashford into Folkestone, including the surrounding villages. My goal is to offer a person-centred approach, enabling people to maintain their existing skills and maybe learn new ones.
It can be daunting when considering homecare for yourself or a loved one but please be reassured that any support will be tailored to the individuals needs and wishes and delivered with the utmost respect, care and compassion.
I am able to offer a wide variety of services as detailed below.

A bit about Me……
My name is Lynne, and I am passionate about supporting people to enable them to live their best lives.
Having worked for Kent County Council for 17 years, as a support worker (NVQ L.3) to begin with and then qualifying as a registered social worker, I have been privileged to support many people, and sometimes their families too. My background is mainly in mental health and with older people, I also worked in a busy safeguarding team supporting and protecting people from harm. I have gained knowledge and skills over several years which are of benefit now in my self-employed supporting role. One of the benefits of being self employed is being able to be flexible to meet individual requirements and plan support as needed.
When not at work, I like to spend time with my family, friends and my 2 dogs. I am a wife, a mum to 3 grown up boys, a daughter and a nanny to 3 beautiful grandchildren. I like reading, and enjoy learning and ensuring that my skills are up to date.
I have been described as kind, honest, compassionate, reliable and trustworthy. I respect people’s dignity and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
I decided in the summer of 2022 that my strengths are working with people out in the community, providing people with the support that they require, when they need it. And, having discussed this with ‘B’ we started to make plans and I handed in my notice to KCC.
And B…..
‘B’ was the kindest most supportive, funny amazing person and I was blessed beyond words to have her as my friend. A highly respected Social Worker herself, who was able to bring out the best in everyone. She was instrumental in helping me start up on my own.
She too was a proud Mum to one Son and a mischievous Labrador, a Sister, Auntie and Great Auntie.
Sadly, she left us in October 2022 following a brave and dignified battle with cancer. She promised that she would be forever sat on my shoulder watching over me. And I promise that the core principles that we had discussed will be at the centre of the support that I will provide…..
