It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from the industry.
I have worked tirelessly over the past 7 years, there’s been a lot of blood (usually mine), a lot of sweat, and very many tears (also mine too!) but this chapter of my life must come to a close.
I didn’t take this decision lightly, and as we all know the Covid-19 hasn’t made it easy for anyone- Self employed or not. I had planned to come away from horses towards the end of this year. But as some of you know I’ve struggled with my health as well as my mental well being the last couple of years, and the stress of working for yourself in an already hard industry is not for the faint hearted. But the Corona was both a blessing and a curse, as it’s given me the rest I desperately needed but also the focus to make decisions.
I have enjoyed our time together, regardless of the length of time. I’ve enjoyed watching the baby horses grow into something special, families welcoming a new addition (horse, child or dog!) the unbearable nerves before your first show, then the smiles at the end. Ive missed your dogs terribly when you come home from holiday, and I’ve cried myself to sleep when I’ve held your horse to be euthanised.
This was never just a job for me, this was a lifestyle.
Thank you all for your never ending support. I wish all the very best for the future.
Billie xoxo
