Hi guys! I’m back after a veryyy long time away. Been super busy with loads of other bits though!
My page will be taking a slightly different slant now.
I’m currently studying for a Masters in Nutrition 😬👩‍🎓 so my posts will start having bits of interesting information as I progress 🤞.
As you all know, I appreciate great tasting food however we need to be aware of WHAT we are eating.

Our visit to BOYS HALL Ashford for lunch was lovely.
I can confirm that their recent mention in the is well deserved!
The surrounding gardens are beautiful with loads of fragrant lavender bushes and other wild flowers.
The interior decor is well thought out and gives a feel of a lush country pad 🌼☘️
We enjoyed the Hot smoked salmon with sushi rice starter and the smoked haddock with sourdough flatbread before enjoying the Sunday roast.
I particularly enjoyed the vegetables and the crispy potatoes 👌
Finished off with apple pie and ice-cream, it was a scrumptious meal.

Great visit to
The ambience was relaxed, the service was attentive but not overbearing and of course the food…
Flawless. A mixture of fish, chicken and duck dishes - all prepared and plated beautifully The dishes were quite filling so we had no need for dessert.
Will definitely encourage anyone in the Ashford Kent area to go if you haven’t been already!

A luscious spread at The Two Sawyers

to one of the sunnier days this Summer 🌞🌞🌞

A lovely 16th century pub out in the sticks - , East Sussex
We went big on the fish and it was delicious. The fish was fresh and as you can see, the portions HUGE.

A very popular place, the service was friendly and they also had a massive field where those with kids and pets could have fun.

Will definitely visit this pub again for a day out to the seaside.

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗶

So I’m finding that the vegan/ vegetarian/flexitarian thing is not that bad👍👍
I have tried cooking a few bits at home however eating out can be a bit tricky.

Tried this dish - mushroom pierogi
(or Polish mushroom dumplings) at and it was actually quite tasty. Served with a simple salad it was quite filling. I was pleasantly surprised 😮

Definitely will have that again on my next trip.

Checked out Fireaway Ashford Pizza and was pleasantly surprised. This addition to the town centre actually opened up lat year but we’ve just gotten round to trying it out now.

Way less salt than most brands, this was quite good depending on simple ingredients for flavour.
Their vanilla milkshake was well- balanced too: not too sweet 👌
Not too much of a fan of the mozzarella salad though…
An overall good experience, we’re adding this to our list 👍
