FJ Philanthropy expands to London and doubles in size with two new strategic appointments

The award-winning specialist management consultancy, FJ Philanthropy is delighted to announce the appointment of Dee Brecker and Kim Shann, and its expansion to London.

Dee and Kim bring a combined experience of over 35 years in high value philanthropy, fundraising strategy, leadership and coaching. Their appointment will double the FJ Philanthropy team, offering growth in capacity, expertise and specific skills including Executive Coaching.

Bryan Fleming, Founder, said “I am thrilled to be starting our tenth year with a second company expansion since starting FJ Philanthropy in 2013. Kim and Dee complement and enhance the breadth of skills, experience and expertise we can offer our clients. Based in London, their combined knowledge of education, health and voluntary sectors will be an invaluable addition to our team, particularly during this uniquely challenging economic environment”

Both Dee and Kim have held senior leadership roles in higher education institutions, health, research, government, international development, and voluntary organisations. They have built thriving, successful fundraising teams and led sustained growth in high value income as leaders and practitioners. In addition, they bring expertise in communications, marketing and executive coaching.

Dee Brecker, said: “It’s a privilege to help charities with their philanthropy, and to leverage my insight and experience to support FJ Philanthropy’s existing and future clients either through consulting or executive coaching.”

Kim Shann, said: “I’m excited by the opportunities to guide charities to grow their income from high value sources and to work with FJ Philanthropy’s clients to achieve their ambitions.”

FJ Philanthropy directors named as finalists for top business leader awards

Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland has today revealed the shortlist for its 2021 Director of the Year Awards. Over 140 entries were received from leaders across Scotland, with 47 directors shortlisted across 12 key categories and seven regional categories.

FJ Philanthropy is delighted to announce that Directors, and brothers, Bryan Fleming and Craig Fleming have been shortlisted in the IoD in the Family Business category. In addition, Bryan Fleming has been shortlisted in the Regional Director of the Year for South of Scotland.

FJ Philanthropy would like to thank all of our partners and advisors for their ongoing support and counsel. Bryan commented “I am thrilled and humbled to be shortlisted for these awards, particularly in the company of so many other high calibre directors across Scotland. It is also particularly special to be nominated alongside my brother with whom I have been working closely over the last 2 years as we navigated our way through the turbulence of the pandemic”. Craig said “I am absolutely delighted to be shortlisted alongside Bryan for such a prestigious award, in the company of many other worthy individuals”.
