One week to go for a final exhibition of paintings from the studio of K B Hancock!

K B Hancock (1925 - 2014) would have been 100 years old this year. A painter all his life, he specialised in impressionist oil paintings of France, marine paintings and in latter years, semi abstracts. He was also a member of the prestigious Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris

To honour his memory I am holding an exhibition of paintings from his studio at the wonderful Tetbury Goods Shed Art Centre in Gloucestershire .
24 June to 2 August 2026
10 am to 4 pm
Open Wednesday to Sunday. (Access not available Wednesday afternoons due to concerts at the Arts Centre

Do come along to find out more about this extraordinary man and painter . DM for more info.

Never a dull moment here. Work is so varied that I never get bored. Here is a small selection of the last couple of weeks work. Tour de France books from the 50s, London tube line plans, Rolling Stones logo in Lego, big posters (photographed after I'd put in the glass, hence reflection), Aboriginal paintings, fabric, simple old watercolour framed in a grand way and a wine carton (Porto 6) with frame painted to complement as do many of my frames. I love my job!

One of my strangest orders - mounting a print in a stainless steel toilet seat, fortunately brand new. My client certainly has a sense of humour!

Never a dull moment here at Five Mile Framing. People ask me if I ever get bored. How can I when every day brings new items to frame. These tube line maps are VERY LONG!! Were a bit awkward to do and each one painted in the individual line colours. Awaiting photo of them hung on my client's wall.
