We were face to face today at our weekly networking meeting in Weston Turville where a bunch of businesses get together and focus on how we can enhance each other’s businesses through expertise, skills swaps, education and collaboration.

This week’s speaker was Mighty Snowbear Design Mel Goodwin who gave us a talk on how she turned things around for a client of hers through branding.

She taught them there is more to branding than just colour- Red can mean so many things to so many people so she helps find the right tones, fonts, accents to truly bring a brand to life.

Next week we have Barnes Wealth Management Alex Cox and Juno Financial Services Ltd Emma Payne joining forces to do a collaborative presentation on how a mortgage advisor and wealth management company can collaborate.

Today we had Lisa Bevan from https://transformationstationltd.co.uk/ today who is a more recent member of our group giving us a 10 minute presentation on her business and how she can support businesses across the UK with their employees mental health and wellbeing through change management.

She gave us some great tips and advice and there will no doubt be a lot of referrals to businesses for her off the back of her presentation.

We also had a load of visitors today from personal trainer to will writer to IT company.

It is great being able to all come together to support other indie businesses.

Our meeting next week is F2F Weston Turville Golf Club and we can't wait to get together, network and also hear from the wonderful Melinda Goodwin Mighty Snowbear Design

Heritage Hikers Plea for Support to BNI

From the 3rd – 6th June The Heritage Hikers (BNI Heritage Aylesbury Chapter) will be walking the Ridgeway which is around 80 miles from Swindon back to Aylesbury in a bid to raise some much needed funds for the wonderful Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity and the people that so desperately need their care.

2020 created a huge strain on the resources of the Charity and also on the service delivery of Hospice Care both in the Hospice and in the Community. The nursing teams continued to provide respite care and end of life care in the Hospice and the community teams continued to deliver care to patients and their families in their homes in the communities of Buckinghamshire and beyond. There has been no let up so far in 2021, with the Bereavement Listening Team supporting unprecedented numbers of people struggling to come to terms with their loss.

Whether it comes from you personally or your business you will be doing something really special by supporting this challenge. As such, we have created a couple of ways for you to take part in supporting us: either a simple donation here or by taking part in our amazing online charity auction by bidding for one of our coveted lots. We have a Chefs Table dinner for 4 at Crockers Restaurant in Tring, online fitness classes for a whole month, Business and HR consultations, social media training for your business and so much more. This auction will begin on Monday 31st May at 9am and end on Sunday 6th June at 9pm therefore get bidding and support our Charity as well as Team Heritage.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity

5 intrepid members of the BNI Heritage group in Aylesbury are taking on the Ridgeway Trek between 3rd-6th June, raising money for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. This auction is to help them towards their target of raising £5,000 to support hospice care in Buckinghamshire.
