- 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧’𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙮 - and what better day to announce my return to work! ✨

As some of you may already know, I put my business on hold over the past couple of years to enjoy an extended maternity leave following the arrival of my daughter in June 2024. Fast forward to now, and I’m about to see my almost two-year-old start nursery 🥹 (yes, I’m feeling all the emotions, but ultimately I’m so excited for this next chapter for both of us).

Which means… it’s time for me to start offering my services again to all you lovely people 🤗

I’m sure there are other parents out there who can relate to stepping away from a career you love to raise a family, while always hoping you’ll one day return to it. I feel incredibly lucky to have had this precious time with my daughter, and I certainly don’t take it for granted — but being a Professional Organiser is truly part of who I am, and I’m looking forward to once again helping people bring calm, order, and functionality back into their homes and lives 🌱

My aim is to establish a new client base here in Norfolk, as regular trips back to my former stomping ground just aren’t feasible with family life now. I actually saw my first client a couple of weeks ago, and I can’t begin to describe how wonderful it felt to step back into a role I genuinely love 💛

So, if you’re based in Norfolk and have been thinking about booking a session - or know someone who may be interested - I’ll be offering a welcome discount throughout June:

✨ 15% OFF ALL bookings, including multiple sessions ✨

And if you’re not looking to book right now, a simple like, comment, or share would mean the world and really help spread the word.

She’s back… and very ready to get organising! 🧺✨

- New Arrival due 1st June! ✨️💕

That's right, my partner and I are expecting a tiny human in 7 weeks and we are beyond excited! This does mean however that I will be taking a big step back from my organising services for the foreseeable future whilst we focus on our time together as a family 👨‍👩‍👧

Being self employed for the past 6 years has been amazing, but it would have been a different story altogether had it not been for my freelance work at ✨️

Prior to starting Embrace Your Space I began working as part of the team back in August 2018 and have had the joy and privilege of working with some incredible women over the past 6 years - I've loved it so much that I've continued to work for YNAV alongside my own client work, as nothing truly beats that sense of comradery and knowing that you're with 'your people' day to day ☺️

Yesterday afternoon I gathered with just a few of these women for a wee send off as this will be my final week working on behalf of YNAV and I have to say, to each and every one of you who have worked as part of the team over the years, thank you for making every day truly wonderful 💫 We've faced challenges, transformed people's lives and continued to learn and grow in this role, we've seen each other through hard times and laughed hard with one another - thankfully, platforms such as this one will allow us to remain connected going forward and I cannot wait to see you all again once little miss has arrived 💕

Finally, a huge thank you to herself, Vicky Silverthorn 💛 back when I first came to one of your talks on how to become a Professional Organiser we struck a rapport, which not only led to me becoming a part of your team, but to us becoming good friends - I truly love and adore you and thank-you for what has been 6 of the most wonderful years of my career - your kindness, support and lust for life and learning know no bounds and I'm honoured to have you in my life 💛

Soppy post over and out 🫡

Who's excited for the return of 𝗕𝗕𝗖'𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁? 🙋‍♀️🙋🏿‍♂️

Whilst Stacey and the team do an amazing job helping families to transform their homes, it's not feasible for the majority of people to empty their homes into a warehouse in order to sort through their belongings...
..So, what should you do if you want to declutter your home but don't know where to start?

✨️ Begin by assessing the current situation - which rooms/areas are causing you the most stress on a daily basis?

* Is your kitchen making meal times a nightmare?

* Are your wardrobes preventing you from being ready on time in the mornings?

You ideally want to start in an area that will eliminate the most hassle from your day.

✨️ Next, determine whether you can schedule the time to tackle the clutter alone or if you may benefit from bringing in a professional to help.

There's a whole directory of experienced organisers, county wide, that can be found on the 'Find An Organiser' tab on the website, myself included!

✨️ Finally, set yourself realistic goals and expectations.

Television programmes, social media, magazines and online articles all share useful hints and tips, but usually the final product has been staged to look a specific way for the final draw of the curtain.

Lived in homes with a high level of activity (that don't benefit from extra help such as cleaners, nannies etc.) won't always look the way you might desire, but as long as the space is practical and functional then most would say you're winning 💫👍

𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗽 / 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 - 📸✨️

Gosh it's been a busy few weeks/months/start to the year! I've once again been fairly absent when it comes to posting on socials (I probably no longer need to clarify this do I 😂) but good things have been happening behind the scenes...

I officially relocated back to Norfolk at the end of last month and said goodbye to my flat in Woburn Sands - I still have a number of clients both in MK and in London that I will continue to work with but aim to establish a client base here going forward.

I have also begun working on behalf of Home Sweet Home who souce organisers such as myself to provide in-home, pre and post move services for corporate clients ✨️

It's been a very busy time, but where possible I've attended a number of social events (as you would have seen on my stories) and continued to service my existing clients as well as those through You Need A Vicky (did you see our trip to Switzerland!?)

I am currently taking bookings from the third week in May so please do get in touch if you're looking to book a session ahead of summer ☀️

𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 - One of my clients who lives abroad is currently juggling running two businesses and raising three young boys (I know, she is literally Wonder Woman 🦸‍♀️) so when it comes to tidying up, the process needs to be fast and simple.

Sure, we'd all love to have bespoke furniture and storage in place, neatly labelled containers and the time to put everything back in it's proper home, but we often have to be realistic about our level of expectation and how practical the system we're implementing is going to be to maintain going forward.

There recently began to be an overspill of toys so we booked a virtual session, went through these together and got rid of anything that was broken or that the boys had seemingly grown out of (that's one bag off to be donated to the local playschool) 🧸🔫🪀

This client has now limited her children's toys to one large plastic tub that tucks away behind the couch when not in use. A quick, simple and easy method that makes play time less of a logistical nightmare when it's time to tidy up!

We tend to see videos and images on Instagram and Pinterest that condition us to believe our homes have to look that that of a celebrity, but the reality is those are affluent home owners with a team working behind the scenes to help them maintain the aesthetic (and a lot of these images are often staged for that one shot you see on your feed)

So let this be a reminder that your home has to look, feel and function in a way that works FOR YOU, not your social media followers.

If you'd like to book a virtual session then please head to the website (via my linktree) or drop me a message ✨️

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 (𝐍𝐎𝐖) 𝟕 - 𝟏𝟑 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 - Starting tomorrow and all this week the community will be sharing valuable tips, tricks and money saving hacks around the theme '𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲' 💰 (make sure you follow their page and check out their stories as well as the website which will be packed full of information)

The continued cost of living crisis is impacting many households and as we come into the winter months people are now, more than ever, looking to find ways to reduce the costs of running their homes.

Each day will cover a different topic:
• 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟕𝐭𝐡: Saving money on food and clothes
• 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟖𝐭𝐡: Getting organised on a budget
• 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟗𝐭𝐡: Saving energy to save you pounds
• 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡: A cost effective Christmas
• 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡: Best ways to save money at the weekend
• 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡: Forgotten it? Flog it, swap it, donate it
• 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡: Plan more to save more

Don't forget to also follow the hashtags to see what's being shared by myself and other professional organisers throughout the week ✨️

𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 🍞🥦🍋 - with the increased cost of living impacting many households a number of clients have told me that they're trying harder than ever to be more resourceful and less wasteful when it comes to how much food they're buying - so what can you do to combat this?

* Check your fridge/pantry/kitchen cupboards before doing your food shop - this will prevent you from buying duplicates and allows you to check what needs using up. I often look in my cupboards and create a shopping list around what's already there and only purchase top up/fresh items when required 🛒

* Shop for seasonal produce - food that's in season tends to be cheaper because you're buying it when it's in abundance. It also won't have had to travel very far, which not only reduces the cost but lowers the carbon footprint that importation ultimately racks up  👣

* Batch cook and freeze meals ahead of time. Cooking in bulk will cut costs in a number of ways, it's cheaper to buy food in larger quantities and there's little to no waste, plus the amount of energy needed through use of appliances is reduced dramatically 👩‍🍳

⭐️ 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 ⭐️ - Receiving feedback from my clients is one of the most humbling, rewarding parts of my job. I haven't posted any of these on here up until now but wanted to share snippets from just a few...

Being a Professional Organiser doesn't just mean going into someone's home, making it neat and tidy then leaving, the role embodies so much more than that...

Over the past 4 years I've taken on tasks that fall outside of the usual decluttering and organising, provided counsel to those that have needed it and made sure that my clients feel unjudged and supported throughout the whole process.

It's easy to appreciate that asking for help going through such personal spaces and belongings can seem daunting, but this industry has gained huge popularity over the last few years and a growing number of people now rely on a PO to help them keep on top of things.

🄶🄰🅁🄰🄶🄴 🄲🄻🄴🄰🅁🄾🅄🅃 - Managed to get this one done before the cold weather sets in! It's easy for an unused garage to become a dumping ground for items we no longer wish to keep inside our homes, so what you really need to ask yourself, is if it no longer lives in your home, why are you keeping hold of it? What purpose does it serve?

It's fine to make exceptions for things such as tools, equipment for home improvements (such as painting and decorating), Christmas decorations etc. you just need to ensure that those items are are being stored correctly, ideally inside waterproof, durable, containers or on sturdy shelving which can be found in hardware stores such as Wickes and B&Q.

Luckily, this client was prepared to let go of 90% of what we cleared out, and over the course of the weekend we listed/sold items online, made multiple tip/charity runs and even prepped items to be repaired so that they can once again be used inside her home.

If you're struggling to get on top of an area that's become cluttered and chaotic then Embrace Your Space can help, simply head to the website (link in bio) and submit your enquiry today ✨️

- 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 🏡 Interiors and home styling definitely feel as though they're hot on my radar of late... One thing I absolutely love doing whilst I'm in Norfolk is spending the day in Norwich city centre looking at all the beautiful homeware ✨️

There are two stores that I never fail to visit, Jarrold and The Granary by Jarrold, which is located in a separate building but is owned by it's parent company.

With a mix of contemporary and modern styles, The Granary spans 3 floors in a wonderful Grade II listed building and I have personally sourced many items for my own home as well as gifts for friends from this beautiful store ✨️

On the third floor in the main Jarrold department store you'll find a huge selection of traditional and contemporary furniture, homeware and accessories along with items from one of my favourite brands, who supply beautiful, ethical and eco friendly handmade homewares and lifestyle products.

I'll be sharing my other favourite homeware stores from around Norfolk as and when I visit them again ☺️
