It's a great time now to take a check point on your winter clothes. If there is anything you didn't wear last year, you probably won't again this year.
Don't keep things that you don't love, that you don't wear and that don't fit.

Only a few days until Christmas! Let's keep decluttering and cleansing your homes of things you don't love and use and bring on the fresh start to the new year!

The living room is where you're going to be spending time with your family on Christmas day or over the season. Make sure it's clean, tidy, clear and free of unnecessary clutter so you can fill it with festive food and drinks, presents, games and people.

Oh and make sure you don't hoard candles. Burn them this year.

The clutter accumulated in everyone's homes post Christmas is excessive. Make sure you buy thoughtfully and only buy things that are needed or wanted. Don't buy for the sake of it.
Try buying experiences or making foodie gifts.
Declutter your home before and after Christmas to make up for the additions you may receive.

Do you really need to wrap everything in disposable wrap when some things are beautiful the way they are?
I've decided that this coat for my son looked pretty much exactly the same as if it was wrapped in Dino paper 😅.

I ensued it was nicely tucked up in a hoodie parcel. May wrap ribbon around it too to secure it.

I'm a bit behind my advent challenge (by ome day!) As I'm helping other families get organised before Christmas!

Today, think about if you have guests staying. Where are they staying? Is it a cosy and welcoming bedroom? Do you use it as a dumping ground. Remove anything youce been dumping in there and find permanent homes for it all. Anything non bedroom related shouldn't belong in a bedroom, especially a room for your guests.

Why don't you make it Christmassy for the season? Decorate it with tinsel or decorations.

The 6th day of our adventure challenge...your fridge and freezer.
At Christmas you are going to need lots of space if you're hosting to prepare things in advance and keep everything cool. Space is an extremely valuable thing, especially at a time when you are generally buying more food than normal.
Clear out anything open, off or out of date from the fridge and anything that has been in thr freezer a long time or you had forgotten about.
Clean your fridge and defrost your freezer. You should now have a bit more space 😅

Christmas can be a very excessive time. In particular for children. They may already be overwhelmed with toys. Why don't you have a clear out before Christmas to make some space they receive new presents this year?
Your children's old toys could be new presents for other children if taken to charity.
Why don't you buy your kids presents from charity or second hand from vinted this year?
Think about finding a toy bank for children in need.
Why not bag up some bin bags of toys and leave them out on Xmas eve for santa to fix and give to other kids next year?
Think about how the toys look in your house. And most importantly..do you have space for your new purchases?

Kitchens! The heart of the home. Where the food on Christmas day will be made surrounded by family and friends.

It must make sense and flow to save time and energy hunting for things. You want to spend more time with family and less time stressing.

Ensure you know where everything is that you know you will need to cook on Christmas day. Prepare by going round and finding everything, putting it all where you can find it and is easily accessible.

Can you replace anything broken or no longer fit for purpose? Check your plates and glasses.

I've spent time in kitchens this advent helping clients get ready. It's so important. Don't be someone that's not prepared.
