Banbury BID is due to be voted back in. The businesses that have been forced to pay in for the last five years have had no prior knowledge to when this vote takes place or had a chance to be vocal against it.
The last page of the new business plan mentions ballot papers will be issued on 17th January, yet some busiensses were unaware. Businesses were also not emailed the latest business plan found on the BID’s website.
For five years, almost £800,000 has been paid into Banbury BID, yet less than 36% has been spent on actual projects to help the town and its busiensses.
But over £411,000 of that money has been spent on wages and admin.
It’s not good enough. Banbury deserves better.
