A quick reminder about requested repairs.
If you ask us to fit a specific part without a diagnosis, we'll happily do so where appropriate. However, if that part turns out not to be the cause of the problem, labour and waiting time are still chargeable.
Our mechanics are paid for their time, travel and expertise—not just whether the requested part fixes the fault.
The best way to save money is to let us diagnose the issue first, so the correct repair is carried out from the start.

Sometimes people ask why we take a deposit when booking a job
Here's a real-life example...
A customer booked in for a spark plug replacement and we reserved the time in our diary. They arrived over 30 minutes late, and once we inspected the vehicle it turned out spark plugs weren't the part that was actually needed.
When we reserve a slot, that time is taken away from another customer. Deposits help protect our diary and our mechanics' time while making sure every booking is treated fairly.
We appreciate all our genuine customers for understanding. 🙌

One of our valued customers recently requested the installation of four new tyres. Upon inspecting the vehicle, our team discovered that two new front tie rod ends were also required, which we efficiently completed, followed by tracking and finally returning the vehicle to our satisfied customer.

A customer experienced an electrical fault resulting in a fire, prompting a call to their insurance company, which arranged for the vehicle to be recovered to secure storage pending collection by a salvage company.

A customer's vehicle experienced a breakdown at a service station, where it was initially diagnosed as a coolant leak (by customer). We recovered the vehicle to our workshop for further assessment, but upon conducting a thorough diagnostic test, we discovered the issue was actually related to the automatic gearbox. In the interest of providing the best possible service, we deemed it prudent to consult an automatic gearbox specialist and subsequently recovered the vehicle to their facility.
