We opened up the Seton archives and found this time capsule from the 80s.

Between the retro telephone, classic printed catalogues, old-school tape, and that original black-and-red safety sign, it’s amazing to see how much the workplace and safety have evolved.

Back then, if there was a hazard, you had to stop and read a block of text just to figure out what was dangerous.

Thankfully, things have moved on. With the introduction of modern standards (shoutout to ISO 7010), those wordy warnings have been replaced by the instant, universally recognised symbols we all rely on today.

The catalogues are on our screens, our phones fit in our pockets, and safety signs can be understood in a split second. But the reason we do what we do hasn't changed a bit.

Here’s to 70 years of keeping people safe at work, and we’re ready for the next 70. 🎉

A huge thank you to Nadia and Tracey from Thames Valley Air Ambulance for bringing one of their Critical Care Response Vehicles (CCRVs) to our Banbury site last week. 🚗
