Score Big with England (Free Shots!)

To really get the town jumping, Danny’s Sports Bar is bringing the ultimate party atmosphere. Expect all the classic football anthems, hats, party poppers, and confetti cannons to celebrate the big moments.

Plus, they've got a brilliant treat for Three Lions fans: Every single time England scores during the tournament, everyone inside the venue aged 18 or over will get a complimentary shot of Manquila Rosé Tequila!

Let’s hope for a high-scoring summer!

Unbeatable World Cup Drink Deals

To keep the celebrations flowing without breaking the bank, they’ve lined up some fantastic tournament offers:

* 3 for £7: Fosters, Madri, Coors, Magners, or San Miguel (440ml cans)

* 2 for £5: Amigos bottles

Top Tip for Matchdays: To make sure you don't miss a goal while waiting in line, Danny’s has introduced a dedicated express serving hatch just for cans. This means faster service, shorter queues, and more time enjoying the game with friends!

Pop on down, support a great local Banbury business, and let’s cheer England all the way to glory together.

The ultimate juniper jubilee is here!

This Saturday, June 13th, will YOU raise a glass for National Gin Day?

What started as a simple excuse to gather a few friends has exploded into a global phenomenon. And honestly? We are more than happy to do our civic duty and partake.

The philosophy here is delightfully simple: grab your favourite people, soak up some sunshine, and clink those glasses. Whether you're a die-hard Gin & Tonic fan, a sophisticated Martini slicker, or a bittersweet Negroni lover, Saturday is all about celebrating the absolute magic of gin.

Gin-Tellecutal Trivia to Impress Your Mates.

Before you take that first sip, arm yourself with these quick facts to look like a total connoisseur:

* It’s basically health food: (Okay, not quite). Gin’s ancestor is jenever, which was developed by European monks and Dutch alchemists as a medical cure-all. We're just keeping traditions alive!

* Move over, Britain: You might think the UK rules the gin kingdom, but Spain actually drinks the most gin per capita in the world—knocking back over a litre per person every year.

The Ultimate Gin Destination: The Coach & Horses

So, where is the absolute best place to celebrate? Look no further than The Coach & Horses (4 Butchers Row, Banbury OX16 5JH).

If you want to do National Gin Day right, you need to do it alfresco. The Coach & Horses boasts a fabulous outdoor space that is practically built for summer sipping.

There is genuinely nothing better than feeling the sunshine on your face with an ice-cold, botanically-blessed glass in hand.

The Gameplan: Gather the squad, head down to the pub, bag a spot outside, and let the evening be-gin.

Volunteers' Week: Celebrating the team behind the Banbury United Community Lottery!

Today, we took time out to meet the amazing team at the Banbury United Community Lottery.

To celebrate Volunteers' Week, we want to give a huge thank you to the six dedicated volunteers who worked hard to enter 1,417 tickets for today's draw.

The draw took place at the Dog & Gun on North Bar Street, and the winning numbers drawn were 3, 18, and 19.

There is no jackpot winner this week, which means the prize will roll over into next week's draw, with an expected jackpot of £1,400+!

How to Play: Tickets are just £1 each. You can purchase them online or visit the town centre lottery stand, which is open Monday to Friday, 09:00–13:00.

Tickets are also stocked at 20 locations throughout the town centre.

Every ticket directly benefits our local community:

* 50% to the jackpot winner
* 40% to the Banbury United Community Fund
* 10% to the Horton General Hospital

Our community lottery wouldn't be possible without the hard work of this volunteer team.

Thank you for everything you do!
