Agri-Fact Friday: Turning Farm Waste into Roads 🚧🚜

Farm waste like silage wrap, feed bags, and other agricultural plastics are being recycled and turned into stronger, longer-lasting roads across the UK.

Innovative recycling trials are proving that these plastics can replace part of the materials used in traditional road surfaces. This helps reduce the amount of plastic sent to landfill or incineration, while also cutting carbon emissions from road building.
The result is more durable roads that last longer and require fewer repairs - meaning less disruption and lower environmental impact.

Farmers are paving the way. Literally.

Good evening ☀️☀️
Its been awhile since I updated on here but i feel like it's been one of our busiest years so far !
Graham & his helper has been busy baling the vast amount of plastic i have taken in over the last while ready to be sent away for recycling ♻️
HOLIDAYS ⬇️⬇️

Yes that's right- we are having a holiday 🤣🙈
We will be away from Monday 14th, so will be unable to take in any plastic that week.

COLLECTION DATES ⬇️⬇️
The dates are being confirmed at the moment. But looks like it will be the week commencing 21/07/25.
A txt message will be sent out with date soon.

Hello everyone 😀

Recently we have had quite a few new customers wondering what to do with farm waste plastic. So this is just a wee reminder on what we take, how to present it and what happens next ♻️

What can we collect?

Silage Wrap
Net wrap
Chemical Drums(lids & foils need to kept in a small bag seperated)
Fert/seed bags
Feed buckets/feed bags
Cardboard
Shrink wrap
Bubble wrap
And many more.

❗️ALL PLASTIC MUST BE KEPT SEPERATE❗️

We offer different types of charging mechanism so you can get the best price for your farm:
*price per bag
*price per acre (for arable farms only)
*price per KG ( only available for delivery to Logiefair)

➡️We have collection sites that we attend twice a year, where you can drop off your plastic on selected dates.
➡️(Cornhill, Turriff, Methlick & our own farm at Gardenstown)
➡️Plastic can be delivered to Gardenstown any day that suits you, just give us a phone to arrange
