👋 Hello and welcome to all our new followers!
We thought it was about time we popped our heads up from the workshop and introduced ourselves properly! 😂
We’re a husband-and-wife team, and for the last 10 years we’ve been busy designing and making gifts inspired by Scotland, right here at Damside in rural Aberdeenshire.
It all started with a few Scottish craft fairs and Highland Games, making gifts from our little workshop built inside our barn. And guess what? We’re still working from that very same barn today!
We absolutely love living and working in the North East of Scotland, surrounded by beautiful countryside and not too far from the coast. It’s a pretty good place to come up with Scottish-inspired ideas! 🌿🌊
Things grew quicker than we ever expected, and within our first year we were supplying shops right across Scotland, including tourism organisations such as the National Trust for Scotland, Historic Scotland and Visit Scotland.
We’re a trade-only business, so rather than having our own shop, we supply independent gift shops, visitor attractions and some much bigger customers too — including our biggest customer, Center Parcs! 😍
And then there’s Hamish… ❤️
Our Highland Coo has become our most-loved design and has gone from being a design on paper to appearing on our gorgeous hats — and even our logo!
Being a small business means we can also get stuck into some really fun bespoke projects. We’ve designed gifts for all sorts of places and tourism destinations, so no two days are ever quite the same.
From a tiny independent gift shop to a much-loved visitor attraction, we genuinely appreciate every single customer who chooses to stock our products. ❤️
So, as we head towards our 10-year anniversary this November, we thought we’d bring you along for the ride!
Expect Scottish gifts, Highland Coos, behind-the-scenes bits, new designs, workshop chaos and plenty of life here at Damside. 😂
