Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we want to remind everyone in the security industry of something important:
Behind the uniform, there’s a person.
Security professionals are often expected to be the strong ones.. protecting others, dealing with conflict, working long and unsociable hours, and handling situations most people will never experience.
But the person doing the protecting sometimes needs support too.
Through our Guarding The Guard campaign, we want to encourage everyone across our industry to look out for each other.
Talk. Listen. Support. Be there.
Check in with your colleagues. Ask the question twice. Make time for the conversation.
You never know how much someone might need it.
