aes, a thrwy ddehongli safleoedd archaeolegol sy'n rhan o'r dirwedd.
- Cadw'r Cofnod o Safleoedd a Henebion rhanbarthol a sicrhau ei fod ar gael i bawb;
Cynnig cyngor ynglyn â goblygiadau archaeolegol cynigion datblygu i adrannau cynllunio awdurdodau unedol a datblygwyr preifat.
- Cynnig cyngor ynglyn â rheoli a diogelu amgylchedd diwylliannol a hanesyddol Gwynedd i berchenogion tir, rheolwyr tir ac eraill.
- Ceisio datblygu rhaglenni gwaith er mwyn cofnodi, dehongli, diogelu, darlunio a hybu treftadaeth ddiwylliannol Gwynedd. Formed in 1974, Gwynedd Archaeological Trust is one of four similar archaeological Trusts which operate across Wales. It is an educational charity as well as a limited company.

- Maintains the regional Historic Environment Record and makes this available to all;
Offers advice on the archaeological implications of development proposals to the planning departments of unitary authorities and private developers.
- Offers advice on the management and conservation of Gwynedd’s cultural and historic environment to landowners, managers and others.
- Seeks to develop programmes of work to record, interpret, conserve, illustrate and promote the cultural heritage of Gwynedd.
