Assisted felling some dead ash trees that were next to a footpath in the forest on Anglesey. We were able to get our compact Carraro tractor and winch in to safely pull the dead trees and skid the timber away from the path.

Nice little job winching back fallen trees from the forestry boundary that had fallen over the fence in to the river. Access was limited but thanks to our low impact forestry machinery our compact tractor and winch was able to get down close to the river bank to set up a pulley to winch the timber back ready for a new fence to be placed.

Chwilog taking down this dead ash stem that was over a new bus stop shelter. The top of the tree had a honey bees nest inside so it was covered and sealed f to allow transporting. Thank you to for there crane and wagon to move the tree.

Last big job of the year done! We were contracted to fell 260+ larch trees that had been surveyed and were classed as dangerous and could potentially fall on the A494 out side of Rhydymain, Bala. All trees were felled back in to the woodland assisted by our 8ton timber winch on the front of the unimog. All traffic management was under taken in-house. We had 12 days of mixed weather with some good days but most wet and windy.

Using the 2stroke portable winch to fell some larch trees along the woodland edge. These little winches are perfect for working in areas where access is limited or tight for machinery and can be used to assists with felling operations or moving timber/brash. For a small pice of equipment it seriously increases productivity and makes life easier.
