*** Update on latest B+E Trailer test changes ***

Thank you to all our customers who have been understanding at this time of change.

Following an announcement on Friday by DVSA, the requirement for a B+E test has now been cancelled from 20th September (TBC).

This does not yet mean you can tow a trailer with a post 1997 licence without passing a trailer test until the law has changed.

As yet, we do not know when this will be.

We will continue to provide trailer training services. DVSA have issued early guidance which "encourages car drivers wanting to tow to seek professional training before towing a trailer".

We believe training may be a future requirement by insurance providers and will certainly be required to fulfil an employer's duty of care under health and safety in the workplace.

If your farm insures with the NFU in Barnard Castle. Family members or employees of qualifying farms can claim a 50% grant towards training costs. This means it is a great time to get your essential ATV or trailer training and test at Deepdale.
