Elsecar Heritage Centre

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder about what is happening here, and what shops and facilities are open, during the lockdown.

Non-essential shops are still closed, but Pauls Natural Foods is remaining open, as is Maison Du Biere for off-license sales and takeaways, and our cafes - Brambles Tea Room and The Pantry Cafe - are open for takeaways too. Do please check their pages for opening times and days.

The dedicated team at Railway Children are still here to support local families

Our car parks remain open, including for those visiting Elsecar Park and the Canal for fresh air and exercise. Site toilets will be open too, which everyone is welcome to use.

Elsecar is home to dozens of other businesses, studios, makers and artists.

Most are physically closed during the lockdown, but many of them are busy behind the scenes, are offering deliveries and drop-offs, a click-and-collect service, or still accepting commissions and enquiries by phone or email.

We’ll continue to share lots of news and information about them over coming days and weeks – please support local businesses, online & digitally, as the lockdown ends and fantastic shopping opportunities as we approach Christmas!

👏 A Fantastic Cause-Please Take the Time to Read, Like & Share👏

So we are now in lockdown number 2 this year.

Already many people have lost their jobs and are struggling to cope to feed their families.

Holly Unwin Hodgson and Rachel Holden usually do a large food, toiletries and clothing collection for the homeless in the community.

So yet again, they're asking for donations to assist with this.

However this year they would like to help out some local families that are struggling by collecting everyday essentials to give to families that have been struck by this as well as assisting the homeless.

If anyone would like to make a donation (items only please as not accepting money) please can you message them and they can give you more information. 💜🌈😊

I understand people are struggling so every little bit is gratefully received and will go a long way to brightening someone's Christmas this year.

Also if you yourself are struggling or know a family that may need some assistance please do not hesitate to send them a message privately and they will keep this confidential and offer as much help as we are able. 💜🌈😊
