Home help and companionship can be about so much more than support around the house.

At Sweet Pea Home Help, we help people get out and about too — whether that’s shopping, attending appointments, enjoying a coffee, going for a walk or simply having some company and a change of scenery.

We’re a local, family-run home help and companionship service supporting people across the Vale of Glamorgan, including Cowbridge, Barry, Llantwit Major, Rhoose, St Athan, Sully, Dinas Powys and surrounding areas.

Today marks one year since Sweet Pea Home Help opened its doors.

A year ago, we had no clients, no reviews and no guarantee that our dream would succeed.

What we did have was a belief that there was room for a warm, reliable home help service where people are treated as individuals, with kindness, dignity and respect.

From day one, our aim has never simply been to provide a service. It’s been to build genuine relationships, support people to live independently at home, and give families the reassurance that their loved ones are in safe hands. That belief is what has driven us every single day.

None of this would have been possible without the trust our clients and their families have placed in us. Thank you for welcoming us into your homes and trusting us to support you. It is a privilege that we never take for granted.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the health and social care professionals who have trusted Sweet Pea Home Help enough to recommend us to the people they support, as well as everyone who has recommended us, shared our posts or left us a review. Your support has helped our small business grow, and we’re truly grateful.

We never imagined how many wonderful people we’d meet in our first year, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have been welcomed into so many homes and lives.
