Basingstoke Business Club

Basingstoke Business Club The Basingstoke Business Club provides regular business support and networking opportunities to local businesses. How Much Does It Cost? Who Can Come Along?

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month for coffee and informal networking at the Apollo Hotel, Basingstoke. Our Membership Co-ordinator provides first-timers with details on our Membership packages and benefits. Membership costs £25 per month (which covers your breakfast / meeting fee). There’s no joining fee, annual subscription or other monies to pay and no pressure to join. We meet 1st

& 3rd Friday on the month. If this does not suite your circumstances you are still more than welcome to attend any time you wish at £15 per visit (cash or cheque please). The college provides an excellent buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice: full English, fruit and pastries. We also get porridge when the chill weather starts ! We are an “open” group so there’s no restriction on competitors: it’s effectively an open house policy. Any business owner or sole-trader can come along, including medium to large sized companies (who often find useful contacts and suppliers via the group, or apprentices via the college). We also have a great mix of male / female businesses in the room too, which really adds to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our Chairman, Graeme Cooper, can be contacted at [email protected]. What’s The Difference Between Members And Visitors? Members commit to attending regularly, visitors can attend as often as they like. Members pay by monthly Standing Order (currently £25). Visitors pay £15 per visit. Visitors can bring promotional literature to any meetings they attend, but cannot leave it at the venue for ongoing display. Members gain a broader range of benefits, including having their promotional literature on site at every meeting (attended or not), a Business Profile on our website, priority bookings for joint meetings with other groups, their business promoted in any of our marketing literature and invites to social events (and joint events with the college). Applying To Become A Member

Visitors simply need to complete an Application Form and hand this to our Membership Co-ordinator, who circulates the proposal to current Members for approval. Successful applicants receive the benefits outlined above, but are required to commit to regular attendance and payment by monthly Standing Order. Where a Member fails to attend the minimum of meetings a month, the Organising Team can request a vote to change the status of that Member to Visitor. Should this occur and the vote is carried, Member benefits are rescinded. The individual can still attend meetings as a Visitor and reapply to become a Member again at any stage, subject to the application process outlined above. If you have any questions please feel free to ask any Member, or email your question to [email protected].
