There’s something weirdly comforting about believing everyone’s struggling.

Because then you don’t have to fix anything. 👀

👉🏻 You don’t have to look at your marketing.

👉🏻 Your positioning.

👉🏻 Your pricing.

👉🏻 Your enquiry process.

👉🏻 Whether brides actually understand why they should choose YOU.

You can just wait for “the industry to pick back up.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

And listen….. I’m NOT saying budgets haven’t changed.
I’m not saying every artist should be fully booked.
And I’m definitely not saying a quiet diary means you’re doing something wrong.

👉🏻 I’m saying I don’t want you handing over all your fu***ng power to things you can’t control.‼️

Because there ARE still brides booking hair & makeup.

There ARE artists having brilliant years.

There ARE businesses growing in changing markets.

So rather than asking:

“Is everyone else quiet too?”

Start asking:

⁉️ What is MY business telling me?

⁉️ Where are my enquiries coming from?

⁉️ Why are people choosing me?

⁉️ Why AREN’T they choosing me?

⁉️ Am I visible enough?

⁉️ Is my messaging strong enough?

⁉️ Do I actually know my numbers… or am I making business decisions based on an algorithm?

Because “everyone’s struggling” gives you nowhere to go.

“What can I influence?” gives you a fu***ng strategy.

And I know which one I’d rather build a business around. ✌🏻🧡

I’m not here to teach you how to build the most impressive business in the room.

I’m not particularly arsed about whether you hit £10k months, have 100k followers, work with luxury clients or can call yourself a CEO.

I AM arsed about whether your business actually works for you.

Whether it pays you properly.
Whether you enjoy running it.
Whether there’s room for your actual fu***ng life.
Whether your marketing sounds like YOU rather than something ChatGPT spat out after being told to “make it sound more premium.”
Whether you trust yourself enough to stop copying what everyone else is doing.

I talk business, bridal hair & makeup industry life, marketing, confidence, social media, boundaries, mindset and whatever other s**t happens to fall out of my brain that day.

Sometimes strategic.
Occasionally profound.
Frequently waffling my opinions 😂

Basically, I’m not here to help you build the business you think you should want.

I’m here to help you unf**k the noise and build one you actually want. 🙌🏻🧡

Happy September, beauts! 🍂🧡 (my favourite time of year!)

Welcome to that weird time of year where you go from being so fu***ng busy you can barely remember your own name…
to having some free Saturdays and wondering whether anyone is ever getting married again. 😂

This is EXACTLY why I want you to save this post.
Because quieter season shouldn’t automatically = panic season. And I know you panic!!! 😱

Your business isn’t supposed to look the same 12 months of the year.

There will be seasons where you’re delivering like a mad woman.

Seasons where you need to get louder.

Seasons where you finally have the capacity to sort the s**t that’s been held together with a wing and a prayer since April. 😂

And seasons where you need to REST.

The goal isn’t to eliminate the quieter periods.

It’s to build a business where you know what the f**k to do with them.

So before your brain starts telling you…

“Nobody’s booking.”
“Everyone’s struggling.”
“Brides don’t want to spend money anymore.”
“Maybe I need to lower my prices…”

Come back to this. 👆🏻
Look at the facts.
Look at your numbers.
Look at what your business actually needs from you NEXT.

And follow the roadmap!!👆🏻

We’ve got four months left of 2026.
That is a LOT of time to change how you walk into 2027.

Your client not leaving a review is no reflection on your work or you as a person…. BUT it’s vital in providing receipts to future clients. So dropping them the link then leaving it alone is not the way to go.

I promise you, that follow up (at enquiry & review stage) IS NOT NAGGING! It’s actually just helpful ✌🏻

I’d actually make the caption add another layer rather than repeat the carousel. More reflective, slightly funny, and then connect it back to the women you coach.

Turns out you can have 15 years of experience and STILL convince yourself you’ve forgotten how to curl hair. 😂

Today was my first bridal trial after 18 months away from hair & makeup.

And it was such a weird reminder that confidence and self-trust are not the same thing.

My confidence felt a bit wobbly.

Of course it did. I haven’t done this for 18 months.

But underneath that?

I KNOW I’m good at what I do.

I know the experience I bring.

I know how much I care about the person sitting in my chair.

And I know I don’t suddenly need to buy £847 worth of new s**t, lower my prices or start doing everything I see other hairstylists doing on Instagram just to prove I still belong here. 😂

And F**K ME if that isn’t basically business ownership in a nutshell.

There will always be something that makes you question yourself.

A quiet month.

Someone doing things differently to you.

Someone seemingly doing “better” than you.

Coming back after time away.

Changing direction.

Trying something new.

Self-trust is being able to feel the wobble without immediately rebuilding your entire fu***ng business around it.

So ….. first bridal trial back: DONE. ✌🏻

Hair skills: still there. Smashed it actually 💁🏻‍♀️

Imposter syndrome: also apparently still there. 😂

Wine: very much required. 🍷

There’s no surprise really that if you are shocking people with your prices, it’s cus you aren’t open & confident about them!

Be clear with your pricing & boundaries, filter the time wasters & make sure you share your value & positioning clearly on your site to reflect this pricing.

These are also the common issues that cause ghosting…

🥱If you’re just listing services like a boring service menu.
🫠If you’re site & branding has no vibe, no impact & feels thrown together 10 years ago.
🙌🏻 If you aren’t owning your skill with confident wording & receipts to back it all up.
💻 If your email flow, follow up & response sounds generic & half asked….. usually ending with “let me know if you have any questions…”
👀 You don’t really know what makes you different & your confidence in yourself is low. Your business is only as confident as you are in it. 🧡

Life lately…. It’s been a strange one. Lots of new challenges, revisiting old ones & ….. let’s face it, sweating my t**s off after England has its 5634th heat wave!!

🦮 I started my pet companion business and are now pretty much booked up until the new year!! 🐾

👩🏻‍💼Working on some exiting things for my coaching business…. Including my first live coaching & networking event 👀 details coming soon!

👰🏻‍♀️Dipping my toe again into weddings as a hairstylist with my team….. actually enjoying it even more now the pressures off completely!

🎨 Enjoyed taking up some painting again, even painted my walls 😅 Loving my new work space 🧡

🚶🏻‍♀️As always, enjoyed new walks, new places, new people and new animals.

Plus many….. many cafes!

🥵 Not been a fan of our heat waves this summer so I’ve been like a vampire & stayed hidden in the shadows 😂 well…. air conditoned cafes anyways.

Oh yeh and I chopped my hair off into a very short, dark bob…. hated it and now im growing it again & are going blonder 😂

I am OBSESSED with the variety in my life atm!!! Doing coaching only was kinda making me feel caged & i became too content & safe. 🥱

I needed change, social (IRL) & active challenges. So, I have thrown myself in. Back into weddings, new into a pet business, navigating new course building & planning my first live coaching & network event!

So far, im managing them with daily & weekly prioritise, and im working each one without feeling overwhelmed. It is possible, you just have to prioritise & be honest with yourself with what you can realistically achieve & when.
