The 2026 CiteAb Top 100 Reports are out now - answering the question: which reagents & instruments are supporting a significant amount of research, and who are the suppliers behind them?

Our Top 100 Reports rank antibodies, proteins, bioactive small molecules, kits & assays, cell lines, and instruments, by citation count, providing an independent view of usage in peer-reviewed, published research.

This year, more suppliers had products ranked in the Top 100s across the board, pointing to an increasingly competitive market.

We also dig into the product-level trends the data reveals: well-established products holding their position at the very top of the market, alongside share shifting further down the rankings to tools in cancer research, gene therapy and CRISPR, amongst others.

Earlier this month, the CiteAb team headed over to Wales for some team-building, good food, and time by the sea! 🌊

While we didn't manage to spot any dolphins (despite our best efforts on a dolphin-watching boat trip...), we still had a great time discussing our objectives, reflecting on the past year, and playing plenty of board games.

It's always great to bring the whole team together, away from the office, for days like this.

Finding, verifying, and publishing citation data in-house is slow work. We ran the numbers. ⬇️
