Total Recycling Scotland Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and understands the importance of delivering excellent service to customers every day.

🔹 What the role involves:
• Collection and transportation of recycling materials
• Daily vehicle checks and safe operation of HGV vehicles
• Working closely with our operations team and customers
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance

🔹 What we’re looking for:
✅ Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
✅ Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
✅ Good knowledge of transport and safety regulations
✅ Positive attitude and strong work ethic
✅ Experience in recycling, waste, or collections preferred but not essential

Overtime rate after 40 hours (Drivers currently working between 50-55 hours per week)

HGV Class 2 Drivers Wanted

Full Job Description
THE ROLE: We currently require professional, experienced drivers to join our team. Preferably with chain skip experience however not essential as full training will be given.

Based from Bathgate, West Lothian you will be working with a mixed fleet of vehicles, servicing customers throughout the Central Belt, adhering to all company policies & procedures, road traffic legislation, VOSA compliance and driver hours and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Provide excellent customer service whilst ensuring fuel efficient and safe driving

*Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation and adhering to company policies and procedures

*Perform daily safety and maintenance checks

*Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely operated and stored

* Ensure accurate daily tachograph and/or log book records are maintained

THE CANDIDATE:

To be considered for this role you must hold a Class 2 license and have had a minimum of 1 years experience driving class 2 vehicles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £11.00 per hour, rising after successful probation period. Overtime (time and a half) paid after 39 Hours.
Drivers currently working in excess of 55 hours per week.

Full Job Description
We are looking to employ reliable consistent recycling operatives on a permanent basis. On the job training will be given initially, with opportunities for further training potentially leading to progression within the company.

Duties will include but not exhaustive to;

Picking and sorting construction and demolition waste from a conveyor belt
General labouring duties
House keeping
Attention to Health and Safety
Previous experience preferred but not essential.

Core hours are 7am to 5.30pm including overtime.

Initially dayshift position with a view to move to dayshift / backshift hours
