People some time get confused when asked for a Housing Report for Visa purposes.They end employing expensive structural engineers to do a Report similar to that one they do when you are applying for a mortgage on the property. This is not the case.A Housing Reports for immigration purposes is to show that the property in question will not be overcrowded in accordance with the Housing Act 1985.It must also show that it is habitable,have washing and cooking facilities.It uses a complicated method to work out overcrowding procedure by using te age, sex,relationship of the people living in the property depending on the size of the rooms.

People always asks me if it is necessary to send a Housing Report with FLR applications.Whilst I accept it is NOT AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT,however I always advise that if they are living in te same property as they were when the initial visa application was mad, they can use the old Report with FLR application, however if they have moved and are now living in a new property, I suggest they get new one done as UKBA will see want to see evidence that sufficient accommodation is available and is secured.I have known FLR applicants who have been refused for this reason.My advice is that for the sake of £50 dont take a risk with such applications.You will end up spending a lot more than this amount of dealing with a Refusal

Just completed my 100th Housing Report for Immigration purposes for some one in Halifax West Yorkshire.By the grace of Allah swt not one refusal yet.
