I am a mature lady with an understanding that sometimes in life, especially as we age our Mums/Dads, relatives may need some help with day to day living. It is never easy to think that it is coming to the time where decisions need to be made as to whether your mother/father/relative needs to be placed into a care home as you are unable to give them the time they need due to your own commitments su
ch as needing to work. Things to think about is such things as, is there any real need to place your relative in a care home when you can employ a personal assistant/home help to come assist your relative in their own home? Could it be that the person needs someone to come in make their lives a little easier by giving assistance with things like , making meals, shopping, outings, cleaning, chats/company etc. Does your loved one really need 24 hour care or could they be fine once in bed until the next morning? Homecare agencies employ carers but the time spent with service users is very limited and rushed because they have many other service users to attend to during the day, whereas I offer a service of spending much more time with individuals. I am a warm and friendly person and most people seem to warm to me once getting to know me. I have a fun sense of humour and love to laugh and see people enjoying themselves. Some people are lonely and just need someone to brighten up their day, someone to socialise with, eat out with and perhaps just enjoy general day to day chat with good company.
