We are a group of local business people who meet over lunch every Thursday. The purpose of the meeting is to pass each other business. In the past 6 months, we have passed over £470,000 worth of business to members of the group. Our philosophy is Givers Gain!

What a couple of weeks it's been at BNI Conqueror! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our chapter for being recognised as **Number One in the area** for our PALMS report. A brilliant reflection of the commitment and consistency our members bring every single week.

We also had the pleasure of awards being handed out by our BNI Sussex Director Consultant, David King, celebrating the hard work happening across the chapter.

Member of the month was awarded to our a fire safety specialist Roy Smith of RTJ Group, for his dedication to the chapter and doing a great job with mentoring the new members that join our chapter.

On the education front, Danny The Idiot brought his usual mix of energy and insight to our educational slot.

We were treated to two fantastic 10-minute presentations too:

📋 Beth from Heringtons Solicitors gave us a legal deep-dive into the Renters Reform Bill, essential knowledge for anyone in property or letting.

🔧 Tom Waring of East Sussex Gas Ltd walked us through his heating & plumbing business, from boiler installs and full bathroom fits to specialist services like LPG gas servicing.

This is exactly why we love our chapter, real knowledge, real connections, and real support for local business.

🌟 What an absolute cracker of a meeting at BNI Conquerors last week! 🌟

We were treated to some brilliant presentations and plenty of laughs:

Education Slot Excellence - Big thanks to Danny Schlesinger for a fantastic education session on maximising your membership value and making the most of your BNI experience.

Tom from East Sussex Gas Ltd reminding us (yes, even in 30+ degree heat!) why regular boiler maintenance is essential year-round. Smart advice wrapped up in just 45 seconds!

Katie Wilkinson brought the goods with a compelling 2-minute presentation on how she's helping local clients release trapped equity in their homes. If you've got questions about your property's potential, Katie's got answers!

🎈 Danny The Idiot returned for his 10-minute session with a twist - he armed each of us with a balloon and delivered a masterclass in balloon artistry! From "I can't do this" to proud balloon dog owners in minutes. A brilliant reminder that Danny brings serious skills beyond children's entertainment - company team building, anyone?

We were also delighted to see a friendly familiar face with Laurie Adey from Utility Warehouse dropping in for a fantastic, fun-packed meeting!

What a powerhouse Thursday afternoon at BNI Conqueror! 💥

If you aren't networking with this room, you are genuinely missing out on business growth and masterclasses.

Here are the highlights from yesterday’s packed meeting:

We are absolutely thrilled to officially welcome our newest member, Ben Greenway of Clearways Environment Ltd, to the BNI Conqueror family!

Danny The Idiot delivered an absolute masterclass during our education slot, teaching us exactly how to finesse our weekly 60-second pitches for maximum impact.

And the Oscar Goes To... Katie Wilkinson - Equity Release Lifetime Mortgage Specialist Her pitch was unforgettable, but it was the mic-drop moment - ending her 45 seconds on an impressive song chorus - that stole the show.

Michael Hopkins of Prints Regent took the stage for an incredible 10-minute presentation. With decades of industry experience, Michael showed us why he's the go-to expert, giving us a look at his state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality solutions.

Another strong meeting this week at BNI Conquerors, with some brilliant contributions, plenty of personality, and a few moments that definitely kept us on our toes!

Tamara Sparks from FreshOnline delivered this week’s education slot on the importance of being prepared during the holiday season, especially when it comes to arranging subs. It was a really helpful reminder that if someone is stepping in for you, they need more than just your seat at the table. They need to be properly prepared, including having a clear and confident 60 seconds ready to go.

We also heard a great presentation from Cale Sinfield at Kangaroo Connections, who spoke about social media management and the role digital marketing plays in helping businesses grow. It was a clear and useful presentation that showed just how important it is for businesses to stay visible and consistent online. Cale also shared a testimonial for Shakira from Flintwise Insurance Brokers Limited, explaining how she helped him save money while also getting better cover, which is exactly the kind of referral success we love to hear.

David from Witcombe Surveying and Conservation Ltd gave the two-minute presentation this week and, keeping the energy high, awarded the Oscar to Roy Smith from RTJ Group for his standout presentation. Roy’s slot included both a poem and a live fire extinguisher demo, which is not something you see every week at networking.

A brilliant couple of weeks at BNI Conqueror, with plenty to celebrate across the chapter.

Last week, Dave from Thomas Design and Graphics delivered a fantastic 10-minute presentation, giving us a great insight into his work and the value good design can bring to a business.

Today, we heard from Harvey Hamblin of Damian Hamblin Djh Scaffolding, who gave us a brilliant 10-minute presentation about the scaffolding industry, the type of projects they support, and why having the right team matters when safety and reliability are key.

We also had lots to celebrate within the room. Adam Toubi Estate Agent - TAUK won the Oscar last week and shared a great 2-minute presentation today on what sets him apart, giving us a clear reminder of the care, skill and attention to detail he brings to his work.

A huge congratulations to Shakira from Flintwise Insurance Brokers Limited, who was awarded Member of the Month for her positive contribution to the chapter. Her energy, support and involvement really do make a difference.

We were also pleased to welcome Tom Waring from East Sussex Gas Ltd as a new member. It’s great to have him officially join the chapter, and we’re looking forward to getting to know him and his business even more over the coming weeks.

Tamara Sparks from FreshOnline also delivered this week’s education slot, focusing on the importance of referrals and learning to listen out for everyday problems. Sometimes referrals come from the most normal conversations, when someone is complaining about a problem, a service, a delay, a job that needs doing, or something that has gone wrong. The more we listen, the more opportunities we have to connect people in the room with those who need their help.

Another strong couple of weeks at BNI Conqueror, full of great presentations, new connections, positive energy and real support for one another’s businesses.

Today was a brilliant Visitors Day at BNI Conqueror, with lots of new faces in the room and a really positive energy from start to finish.

It was great to see so many local businesses come along, get involved and experience what our chapter is all about. Open networking was full of good conversations, new introductions and plenty of opportunities to connect.

One of the best parts of mornings like this is seeing how quickly links can be made between our existing members and visitors. Whether it’s a potential collaboration, a referral opportunity, or simply meeting someone who could be useful to know, there was definitely a lot of value in the room today.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited, everyone who invited a guest, and all of our members who helped make people feel welcome.

BNI is always at its best when the room is full of good people, good conversations and local businesses supporting each other and today was a great example of that.

Another great meeting today at BNI Conquerors, with plenty of strong takeaways, a few memorable moments, and some brilliant contributions around the room.

Tamara from FreshOnline delivered this week’s education slot, speaking about the importance of following up with the people we invite along to Visitors Day. It was a timely reminder that the invite is only the first step, and that good follow-up is often what makes the difference.

Jenna French from Heringtons Solicitors brought her usual energy to the room, comparing her experience of running 50 miles to the way she approaches conveyancing. Calm, capable and making the difficult things look far easier than they probably are.

Shakira from Flintwise Insurance Brokers Limited also gave us all something to remember her by, sharing packets of Walkers crisps with the room as a clever reminder that standing out matters. A simple idea, but one that definitely stuck. She also picked up the Oscar this week, so a big well done to her.

This week’s 10-minute presentation came from David of Witcombe Surveying and Conservation Ltd,who gave us a really interesting insight into the types of properties he works with and the detail involved in what he does. He also took us right back to the 1500s, showing what a survey and project might have looked like for a client back then, from the way timbers were made through to how the frames of houses were put together. It was a brilliant way to bring his work to life and gave everyone a much better understanding of his knowledge and expertise.

Another brilliant meeting today at BNI Conqueror, with plenty to celebrate and some great insights shared across the room.

A huge milestone for the chapter as we announced that together we have now passed over £10 million worth of business. A fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the relationships, trust and support within the room.

Tamara Sparks from FreshOnline also delivered this week’s education slot, sharing practical ideas on where to find new visitors ahead of our upcoming Visitors Day on 30th April. With the date getting closer, it was a great reminder that there are so many opportunities to invite good local businesses into the room.

This week’s featured presentation came from Tom Mcshane of TM Roofing Southern LTD, who gave an interesting talk on the wide range of roofing services they offer. He also shared some useful knowledge around the different types of slate they use, giving everyone a better understanding of the skill and detail involved in the work they do.

A big congratulations as well to Rhiannon Gossedge-Jones from Rhiannon Gossedge-Jones Wealth Management and Nicky from
Clear Choice Exterior Cleaning, who both received their certificates for completing Passport to Success, which means that they're nicely settled in to the chapter and making the most of their membership.
