Few pics from sunnier days. Felling pines on the centre of fell chip brash and remove, timber cut to 3m and removed. Deep tap roots and acidic needles mean the pine trees planted on top of Badbury Rings can damage the biodiverse chalk grassland and important archaeology beneath. These trees, planted in the 1980s, have not grown as they should because of Badbury's alkaline soil There is still the native broadleaf trees to provide food and habitat for wildlife.

It’s that time of year again! Clearing the middle ring at for . That’s all three cleared on a 3 year rotation to preserve the archeology but also encourage the wildlife. And as always fuelled by the full English breakfast.
