The JVCKENWOOD UK team came to SOtech initially to do a strategic review of their UK based Shopify eCommerce sites. This strategic review turned into a full design and build project to improve the user experience and increase conversion across both sites.

The Energy Innovation Centre - Project Review

After multiple discovery and strategy sessions with the key stakeholders at The EIC, we established a full architecture of the two key user persona’s as well as The EIC’s admin persona.

- The Innovator
- The Industry
- The EIC Admin

We settled on using a Laravel Back-End to build the core database and platform structure alongside a Vue front end to allow for quick and flexible development of new pages and features.

The full project involved all of our key services:
- Full Strategic Guidance
- Design Ideation
- UX and UI prototyping
- Bespoke Build of entire site infrastructure and databases

Key Features:
- Single Admin Area catering to each user profile
- Automatic matching of innovators and industries
- Lead generation through public facing landing pages
- Automatic vetting system for innovation submissions
- Admin tracking of user behaviour and interactions
- Bespoke project management tool for use by both Innovators and Industries

Results:
In essence the biggest result is the fact the entire EIC business is now ran via this portal, a true Digital Transformation of their business.

The Energy Innovation Centre, or EIC, was established in 2008 as a global not-for profit organisation with a vision to reach far beyond the creation of new or improved utility systems. They are passionate about driving social progress, improving the quality of people’s lives and securing a safe, affordable and sustainable future for our children. Working in partnership with ten gas, electricity and water utilities and the Energy Systems Catapult (ESC), the EIC bridge the gap between industry and innovators.

The brief to SOTech was to create the entire platform to drive the business strategy both from a customer facing presence to the back end admin areas for both innovators and industries.

Salvo 1968 - Project Review

With the impending end of support for Salvo1968 hired SOtech to take on the re-launch of their B2B platform. The brief was simple, Re-design the entire site to modernise the brand and add a focus on eCommerce best practises to help them increase basket sizes, conversion rates and customer engagement.

The full project involved all of our key services:
1) Strategic guidance to identify new opportunities
2) Branding Updates
3) Art Direction for new Photography
4) UX prototyping and cross device website designs
5) Full Magento2 build including bespoke integration with Microsoft NAV ERP

Wanted to share a bit of good news from the team at SOtechnology

With all the school closures, one of our clients has had a huge demand for their product Numbots - an app that enables maths learning for children aged 5+.

Since the school closures we've seen over 2,000 more schools sign up to make the app available to their students and on day 1 of home schooling saw 50,000 children playing vs the normal number of circa 1,000, with those 50,000 children generating one million 'plays'.

The great news is that we have been able to immediately increase the server capacity to deal with the new demand to keep the app performing and serving the education needs of it's users!
