✨ The Ultimate Business Start up Checklist ✨

As some of you know, I launched my Virtual Assistant business during the first UK lockdown.

Back when I was researching how to set up a service based business, I’m not going to lie to you - I was SO overwhelmed by the volume of information I was faced with online 😅

I remember booking myself onto online courses, reading books, listening to podcasts, and connecting with lots of others in the same field in the hope that it would make more sense. I was also joining every online community that I could find on facebook, so I could look at what others were saying about their journeys and the challenges they faced.

Although these were helpful when I was starting the journey, I definitely overloaded on information which completely burned out my mind and motivation at the same time 🤦🏼‍♀️

I actually became really anxious about setting up the business, as there was such an overload of information being shared. The endless tools and systems out there were mind blowing to me! I was SO overwhelmed. 🤯

So I created this Business Start-up Checklist, because it was exactly what I was looking for at the time of setting up my business. I know how hard it is - so I wanted to share what I learned with you!

Tips for starting a business ✨

I’ve heard loud and clear from you that setting up a business can seem difficult.

Since starting up 2 businesses of my own, I completely understand how noisy the online space can be, which only results in you feeling completely overwhelmed 😅

However, do not despair! Knowing the right areas to focus on and having a clear plan in place means the whole process can become much more straightforward.

Back when I started my own business, I actually got to the point where I had to completely switch off to the online space and just focus on my own development of my business, because all the information out there was simply distracting me and making me feel anxious about starting! I definitely spent more time procrastinating than actually LAUNCHING!

I must admit, during the set up of both businesses - I felt like giving up more than once. But I am SO glad I got my butt in gear and as soon as I became organised - the rest fell into place.

New Logo & Brand Refresh 🌱✨

Why did I decide to refresh my brand?

▪️ Letting go of perfection
I felt like I needed to let go of perfection, and the idea of the ‘perfect profile’. If I've scheduled my content for the month and want to post something in-between, I can now and don't need to worry about the look of my grid!

▪️ To be more creative
My new designs mean I can be more creative and flexible. I created many more graphics this time around which means I have lots of different options when it come to posting (I'm looking forward to sharing them all from now on)! I can also adapt as I go and create more if I feel like keeping my brand up to date!

▪️ I needed a change
I wanted to modernise my look and not keep to the same 3 posts all the time. I still love the brand colours I use, so I just uplifted them to make a more interesting. Simply put - I was a bit bored of my previous feed 😅

▪️ To celebrate my first year!
It was my one year business anniversary yesterday and I think this is a great way to start of year number 2! It's like having a brand new canvas and makes me so excited for the year to come.

New Blog Post - Why is Branding Important ✨

I have been a little quiet on here the past month and there’s a couple of reasons why.

Despite my obvious priorities – (my wonderful clients of course)! I am working on a little rebrand/brand refresh behind the scenes 🎉

People decide to rebrand for many reasons. Whether they are entering an exciting new venture and want to ensure their brand highlights this new step, perhaps the current branding is a little outdated or simply because you are bored of your current branding.

The reason I have decided to change is because my current theme doesn’t really serve me anymore.

I'm planning to stick to a similar colour palette, but I’ve felt like I needed to inject some more creativity into the content I put out there and have wanted to express this through my posts for a while now.
