We are delighted to share that Assure Consulting has once again chosen us as their charity of the year! They will support our vital care throughout 2024 with several fundraising events over the next 12 months. This is the second time they have helped raise vital funds in memory of a colleague who we cared for in 2022 and we are so grateful for their support.

The big-hearted employees plan to do several challenges throughout the year, including entering a team in The Sue Ryder Bedford Dragon Boat Festival, a summer fundraiser and lacing up their trainers for Starlight Hike. Staff from Assure will also offer hands-on support by volunteering in our gardens and at our events.

Lee Mason, Managing Director at Assure Consulting Ltd, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Sue Ryder again this year. It was clear from our staff vote that the charity is a popular choice for many, and, of course, through everything we do, we will be thinking of our valued colleague who was cared for by the team at the Sue Ryder hospice.”

Coast to coast: Our MD spent the middle of September going coast to coast, all for a good cause……trimming his waistline. As a Groups we are exploring options for other charity based events and we would love our clients to get involved, if they fancy a challenge!

Football & Rugby: Always supporting the local teams, Assure have recently seen Northampton Saints defeat Leicester Tigers ….comfortably and then a week later we were over at MKDons to see them battle out a draw with the mighty Cobblers (Northampton Town). Cheque Arrives at Assure for over £500,000! If you occupy a property with part inside a ‘Centre’ and part outside, being either 2 separate leases or part lease and part freehold, please check that your Centres charges for Service Charge & Insurance are solely related to the part leased from the Centre. We have recently encountered a situation where charges were calculated across both parts when it should have been limited to a relatively small leasehold part. This gave rise to a large backdated refund.

Recruiting for Growth: We are delighted to report on our new recruits with Terah Blake-Smith (left) joining us from Gap USA, bringing a great deal of property accounts experience from across the pond! Then there’s Miranda Toben, Sue Thompson, Kerry Lowndes & Ruth Brackley, all joining us in the client management teams as Property Cost Advisers. Last but not least, David Savage (right), joining as Database Developer, playing a central role in taking Verivi, our industry leading lease expense management system, to a new level!
