3 Peaks Recruitment is delighted to partner with an established, growing manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer.

Working closely with HR and Finance, you’ll take responsibility for accurate, timely weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple group companies.

What you’ll be doing:
🟡 Processing payroll, statutory payments and pension contributions.
🟡 Managing employee payroll queries and maintaining accurate records.
🟡 Preparing reports and supporting month-end reconciliations.
🟡 Overseeing time and attendance information and improving payroll processes.

What we’re looking for:
🟡 At least two years’ payroll experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
🟡 Sound knowledge of payroll compliance, statutory payments and pensions.
🟡 Experience using payroll, HR or time and attendance systems.
🟡 Good Excel skills, strong attention to detail and a confidential, professional approach.

We were delighted to be invited to join NI Chamber alongside over 200 business leaders and professionals for an insightful event focused on attracting, developing and retaining the next generation of talent.

As a recruitment business, these conversations really matter to us at 3 Peaks Recruitment. We see first-hand the challenges employers face, but equally, the importance of creating opportunities and helping people build their futures here in Northern Ireland.

One message that particularly stayed with us came from Richard Kirk of Workplus, who spoke about the importance of having hope.

3 Peaks Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established and growing business looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, managing supplier relationships and ensuring materials and components are sourced at the right price, quality and time.

What you’ll be doing:

🟡 Managing the purchasing of materials, components and services
🟡 Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing
🟡 Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers
🟡 Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations
🟡 Using MRP/ERP systems to manage purchasing activities and monitor orders
🟡 Ensuring timely delivery of materials to support operational requirements
🟡 Supporting stock control and material availability
🟡 Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Finance
🟡 Monitoring supplier performance and resolving supply chain issues
🟡 Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

What we’re looking for:

🟡 Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role within a high-volume manufacturing environment
🟡 Experience using MRP/ERP systems
🟡 Experience onboarding new suppliers essential
🟡 Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
🟡 Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders and stock control
🟡 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
🟡 Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
🟡 Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Experience within electrical, mechanical, engineering or related manufacturing sectors would be advantageous. A CIPS qualification would also be beneficial.
