Yesterday, our Director, Charlene Craig had the privilege of serving as a judge for the Institute of Hospitality Northern Ireland Awards for Professionalism.

It was an inspiring day hearing about the achievements of hospitality professionals from across Northern Ireland. The calibre of entries showcased the exceptional talent, dedication and leadership that continue to strengthen and shape the hospitality sector.

At 3 Peaks Recruitment, we are passionate about recognising excellence and supporting industries that thrive on outstanding people, so it was a fantastic opportunity for Charlene to contribute to the judging process and help celebrate those making a real impact.

A huge thank you to Eóin McGrath FIH, Aaron Logan FIH IS, Kathryn Tweedie and the entire organising team for delivering such a well-run and insightful event, as well as to the fellow judges for their time and expertise.

We're working with a leading infrastructure organisation to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of a major transport network across Northern Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a key role in highway asset management, maintenance planning, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

🟡 Managing highway assets and supporting lifecycle maintenance programmes

🟡 Overseeing inspections, defect identification, and repair activities

🟡 Planning and delivering maintenance and rehabilitation projects

🟡 Managing subcontractors and coordinating works delivery

🟡 Monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts

🟡 Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards

🟡 Supporting annual works and inspection programmes

🟡 Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies

What we're looking for:

🟡 Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

🟡 Previous experience within highways, infrastructure, or asset maintenance environments

🟡 Strong understanding of highway maintenance and asset management principles

🟡 Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and industry best practice

🟡 Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills

🟡 Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively

🟡 Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative

On Saturday, we finally got around to having a celebratory lunch to mark the launch of 3 Peaks Recruitment.

Starting a new business takes a lot of hard work, commitment, and long hours, and none of it would be possible without the support of those around us. It was great to take some time away from the day-to-day and celebrate with our partners, who have been there every step of the way.

Their encouragement, patience, and support have played a huge part in helping us get 3 Peaks Recruitment off the ground, and this lunch was a small way of saying thank you.
