Job Purpose:
• To assist the Human Resource Manager in delivering comprehensive Human Resource services to VIable's clients
• To provide an effective customer focused support service to all VIable clients
• Work closely with the staff teams in VIable client organisations
• Seek at all times to be effective and efficient and to enhance the quality of the service which the HR team gives to all its clients, thereby assisting them to provide a high quality of service.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Provide HR advice and guidance to our retained clients on a range of generalist HR and employment law related queries on the telephone, face to face and via email.
• Manage and participate in recruitment and selection exercises for clients including developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates, drafting letters etc.
• Management of HR databases including on boarding and supporting clients with HR databases
• Provide support to clients on disciplinary investigations, grievance etc
• Review and develop a suite of document templates e.g. HR forms, letter templates etc. Ensure these are accessible to the team and ensure they are kept up to date and in line with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Maintain a filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate.
• As required, to design and deliver briefing and training sessions for Managers and staff to cover policy implementation, legislative changes etc.
• To establish, maintain and develop effective working relationships with internal and external clients and partners.
• To work proactively, monitoring HR processes and procedures, instigating appropriate action and implementation as necessary.
• General administration
• Participating in staff meetings and development sessions as required.
Person Specification:
The successful person must be results focused, have strong organisational and communication skills, and have a passion to work with clients to help grow the business.
Essential:
Experience
• Minimum of 2 years, recent HR generalist experience within a fast paced, dynamic, customer focused environment
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation in NI
• Experience of end to end recruitment, providing HR advice on ER issues, developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Experience of maintaining HR databases
Qualifications
• 3rd level qualification, preferably in a business-related subject, essential
• CIPD qualified, Associate level.
