Long weekend? How about some long-outdated seafood myths? ๐
White fish is all the same.
Not quite. Cod is firm and meaty, haddock flakes beautifully, hake is softer and more delicate, while plaice and sole bring something lighter again. Same family on the plate, very different jobs.
Freshness is only about when it was caught.
The catch matters, of course, but so does everything after it. Temperature, handling, trimming, packing and traceability all make a huge difference to what ends up on your plate.
Sustainable seafood means avoiding seafood.
Not the case. It means choosing carefully, knowing where it comes from, using trusted suppliers and giving different species their time to shine.
