Look at every application and interview as training for the one time you go for the job that is perfect for you, then you'll smash it. Nobody needs to know either way and just think what you may be wondering in 6 weeks time if you didn't apply.

The Internet is down and the remote working world falls apart!! What to do!?!? I guess this is the new equivalent of travel break down on way to the office. I’ll blame the storm and keep hitting reset on the modem!!
Today has seen me work across all my areas of sport coaching, business mentoring, interview coaching and even a chat about RNLI. Time for child’s play then boat play! Have a good evening.

Are you working on your goals for 2022? I use Goalscape as a tool to help with goalsetting. I came across this in my sporting World where athletes use it for planning their development through setting goals. I love the visual and practical set up of the platform, it really works for me. You don't need any platform, just a pen and paper but if you find something works for you then explore it further to help your development.

As a performance coach at RYA Northern Ireland it is always great to see the athletes heading to an event to perform on the water.
Last weekend a team of laser and topper sailors headed to Largs in Scotland for the rejuvenated Nations Cup. There were stand out performances in the Laser from Tom Coulter Sailing and Josh McGregor plus a fleet win for Bobby Driscoll in the Topper. A tough weekend of racing as storms swept through the UK.
This event holds special memories for me as a youth sailor in the 1990's I competed for NI at the old Nations cup over 4 consecutive years.
As we sit here in Northern Ireland winter mode, many athletes can get comfortable in winter training, but we wanted to shake things up and make this event happen. It has shown us many great development points for the sailors and also let the athletes test their skills mid way through the winter training programme. The next big event is only 2 months away as a large squad will head to Wales for the GBR Youth Nationals.
Well done Team NI and we look forward to pushing for the win next year.

Are you worried about finding a job in Northern Ireland? DON'T BE! The current unemployment figure sits at only around 3.6% and in 2019 it was around 2.5%, at the start of the pandemic. This means there are a lot less people than you may think looking for jobs and we are seeing plenty of new work out there, across many sectors as Covid lifts. In the early 1990's it was above 12%!! Don't worry, get out there and find your next job!

The unemployment rate in Northern Ireland was 3.6 percent in the three months to March 2021, a fairly significant increase when compared with the same time period in 2020, when the unemployment rate was 2.4 percent.
