The UK Government is reviewing the Veterinary Surgeons Act, and the outcome could affect how equine dentists are recognised and allowed to work in the future.
𝘼𝙨 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧, 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨.
Many owners rely on a qualified, trained equine dentist to maintain their horse’s comfort, welfare, and performance. This consultation is your chance to say that:
✔ Clear professional titles matter
✔ Proper training and competence protect horses
✔ Regulation should be proportionate and risk-based
✔ Equine dentists should be able to work within their sphere of expertise

Attended the Trident Equine Dental Conference and CPD this weekend at Doncaster Racecourse, very interesting weekend with great lectures given by some of the top international professionals in the field of advanced equine dentistry.

Back in the lecture room yesterday at Equine Dental Clinic in Wimborne, England for a bit of advanced dentistry theory and practical. An unbelievable facility with the latest state of the art technology.

Below are my aims for work over the coming weeks and months.

My aim is to continue working as normal, maintaining a biosecure environment for everyone. All I ask, is that we keep a good distance and the horses are in ready with a head collar on, Most of you are aware I’m happy working on my own, so together we’ll be able to remain safe from this awful virus. If anyone feels symptomatic in the days leading up to our appointment, do please let me know and we can of course re-schedule.
Let's hope it doesn't last to long and we can all get back to normal.
