Wasted wood that is able to be turned into building blocks or fuel.

University students found a new chemical process that is able to convert the cellulose in sawdust into hydrocarbon chains which can be used as an additive in gasoline, or as a component in plastics!

Well, a team from Complete Wasters get together and collect the rubbish to then get it sorted and recycled. With the help of 50 volunteers, they clear the festival venue of all rubbish which can lead to them even getting a free tickets to the event!

Manufacturers, retailers, universities and recycling companies are all planning to revolutionise the way we buy, use and dispose of electrical items.

According to the UK government body, extending product durability and gaining greater value from reuse and recycling could boost the UK economy as well as help future proof our resources.

With the UK market value for trading pre-owned equipment at £3 billion already, encouraging the trade-in of used TVs alone could grow UK GDP by over £750 million per year by 2020!

You'll be please to know that the UK are among the best for lamp recycling, due having collected and processed 5,370 tons of lamps!

According to Recolight, the UK’s contribution to European lamp recycling is expected to grow.

To everyone that's recycled a lamp over the past year, well done!

Figures provided by European lamp recycling schemes are reported to show that the UK was the second largest recycler having collected and processed 5,370 tons of lamps. Germany, France, Spain and Italy were among the leading countries, all having contributed “significantly” to the 24,000 tons of lam…
