Fyne Audio has launched two new super tweeters, the SuperTrax, and more keenly priced, S-Trax.
We have been supremely impressed with the transformatory effect these super tweeters are capable of.

Musical Event No. 8
We are returning to the Crown Plaza Reading East, at Winnersh Triangle, for our next musical event over the weekend of the 13th and 14th July.
We will be showing amplifiers from Soulnote with their A2 and Exposure with their flagship 5010 pre and monoblocks. For sources, we will have the Viking CD player from Hegel, plus a Turntable from Origin Live. Speakers will be from Goldenear and EgglestonWorks.

We will be at the 2023 UK Audio Show to be held at Staverton Park Hotel from 07/10/23. We will be exhibiting: Goldenear, Luxman, Hegel, Origin Live, Ophidian, Puritan Audio, HRS and Gutwire.
We will also be hosting an event where we will record and mix a live performance, which will then be burned to CD. This will then played back through our system, in the same space as the recording. The performances will be from Mim Grey and Alan West.

Audiolab 7000 series.
We now have the new 7000 series which builds upon the multi-award-winning 6000 series, with both a higher build quality and a jump in sonic performance.
The series consists of the 7000A amplifier with analogue and digital inputs, the 7000 CDT CD transport and the 7000 N Play wireless streamer with AirPlay2.
The 7000A has a discrete Class AB power amp stage which delivers 70W per channel into eight ohms, and for difficult loads a maximum current delivery of 9A amps. The new ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip utilises the latest technology from ESS Technology. It has ultra-low noise and high dynamic range.
The CDT uses a new mechanism to maximize resolution. It also allows for USB HDD playback.
We think that this series sounds great and is delivered in a sleek and stylish package with all having a colour screen. We will be doing some more in-depth listening tests soon.

Musical Event No 7 – Studio Session No 2 – 24 & 25 June
Due to the success of our last musical event, we have decided to expand on this theme. Our last Event was held in Crescent Records studio, where we invited a live jazz trio who were recorded and mastered by Crescent Record’s engineer Damon Sawyer. This recording was mixed and transferred to a CD-R which was replayed via an audio system set up in the same space as the initial recording. Subsequently Damon had further enhanced and refined the mix, with our input, and was printed as a CD package, and sent out to all attendees.
We are again using the same jazz trio led by Pete Billington on piano and Simon Price on drums, with the addition of Fleur Stephenson on vocals and Alec Dankworth on acoustic bass. We had very positive feedback on the musicianship of the trio at the last Event, and we are sure the addition of a singer will be of extra interest.

Goldenear
We are now proud to offer Goldenear Loouspeakers from their flagship Triton line and coming T series. We will be holding a few models in the studio including the soon to be released T66 (see image), which will be out in the near future.

If bass is something of importance to you, this brand will enthral you. We have found them to be superb performers with a sweetness from the high frequencies that we are real fans of.

They offer some fantastic features such as in-house drivers, including ribbon tweeters and active bass modules on some models. We have been impressed.

New CD Players
We have recently received two fantastic CD players.
The first is the Ayre CX-8, heralding from the US. We have been big fans of Ayre, historically, and this does not disappoint.
The second is the superb Luxman D07x from Japan, which we have just run in. This is the little brother of the sublime D10x, which is our reference integrated CD player.

We have the new Ophidian INCANTO floor-standing speakers, which are now run in and ready for demonstration. We have been very impressed with this 3-way floor-stander which shares a lot of the technology from their flagship Voodoo speakers. However, the Incanto has a much smaller cabinet which should allow it to fit into the majority of homes. Book a demonstration now.
