Before the day gets going, our team takes the time to make sure every wagon is ready for the road.

Each vehicle is checked as part of the daily routine, from the tyres and lights to the lifting gear and hydraulics. Our drivers also carry out their own walk-round checks before setting off.

It is about looking after the people behind the wheel, the customers we visit and everyone else sharing the road. These checks may be routine, but they are never taken for granted.

👀 Behind the scenes 🎥

Here’s a look at the process as our freshly excavated sand from Mercers Quarry is loaded onto one of our dumpers before being transported across the quarry to the screening area.

Once there, the material goes through the screening process to be separated and prepared for its next stage — turning material straight from the quarry face into a usable aggregate 🏗️♻️

Another part of the day-to-day operation behind the scenes at Mercers Quarry, with the machinery keeping everything moving efficiently. 💪
