£17.00ph School Cook Required!

Small school in nice part of Eastbourne requires an experienced Cook/Chef to lead their well established catering team for the five weeks (Mondays to Fridays..) 8th June to July 10th. The position could resume after the school holidays but this is not guaranteed BUT when this ends you could then be working for our agency because we URGENTLY need chefs (and kitchen assistants 😊) for agency work at locations throughout East Sussex, and beyond to work in Care Homes, schools and other locations. Handy Man/DIY'er £14.50ph to start ASAP!

WestHam (near Eastbourne)
This is an ongoing assignment at a Primary School expected to finish when school year ends 21st July (though it may commence again when school re-opens in September?) it is a “school caretaker” role so the work is quite varied but nothing too challenging or heavy (contractors are brought in if and when required..).

All tools and light machinery is provided. Six hours a day 07.00-13.00 (though flexibility is possible..) Monday to Friday. It is just five minutes walk from the Pevensey & Westham mainline train station, and also with on-site parking (if no space free on-street parking here..)
References and DBS Police check required (we can apply for your DBS if you do not currently have one in date or online..)

We require a cleaner for next week commencing 11th for five days Monday to Friday 07.30-15.00 for light industrial cleanin on a building site in central Lewes. No previous experience required and you will be well supervised, all we require is that you arrive on time and prepared for good days work.

At the moment the booking is just guaranteed for one week but all being well it could continue 2-3 more🤞

Our long-standing client is seeking a Sous Chef/CDP to join their friendly catering team to provide quality canteen catering for the pupils and staff in this somewhat Hogwarts style private school (though kitchen is 21st Century!) a few miles outside of Hastings. Own car would be an advantage because though buses do stop there but not always at convenient times for late finish shifts, though it is within cycling distance from Hastings.
Shift pattern is alternating Fortnightly:
Week One: Monday to Friday 12.30-8.30s.
Week Two: Wednesday to Friday 12.30-8.30s
Saturdays 7-2.30 & 4-8.30
Sundays 10-2.30 & 4.30-8.30
Responsibilities will include:
• Uphold cleaning protocols to ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Prepare food efficiently, minimising waste and maximising productivity.
• Contribute to a calm, happy and inspirational working environment.
Requirements will include:
• Proven experience in a similar role,
• Knowledge of food productionand kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in harmony with the Head Chef and other team members.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative mindset and ability to innovate in the kitchen.
• Hardworking and committed to upholding high standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for food and dedication to continuous improvement.
