Our Assistant Manager, Adam, recently traveled over to Paphos with his fiance, Lily. This is what he had to say:
I recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Cyprus, staying at the adults-only Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa. Which boasted beautiful sea views, excellent a la carte dining and an incredible location making it so easy to explore the island.
🌊 Exploring Paphos Harbour
One of my favourite spots was Paphos Harbour. The waterfront is lined with cafés, coffee shops, restaurants and traditional fishing boats, creating a lovely atmosphere during the day. It's the ideal place for a leisurely stroll, a drink overlooking the sea, or simply soaking up the Mediterranean charm. If you are looking to pick up souvenirs for the family, this is the perfect place!
🏛️ A Day Trip to Limassol
We also took a day trip to Limassol, Cyprus' second-largest city. The contrast between the modern marina, bustling shopping streets and historic old town made it an incredible place to visit. It offered a different side of Cyprus and was well worth the journey from Paphos.
🛍️ Shopping at Kings Avenue Mall
For anyone who enjoys a bit of retail therapy while on holiday, Kings Avenue Mall is a must-visit. With a great selection of international brands, local stores, cafés and restaurants, it provided the perfect escape from the midday heat and was a great place to pick up a few holiday treats.
🦁 A Fun Day at Paphos Zoo
Another highlight was visiting Pafos Zoo. Home to a wide variety of animals and birds, it makes for an enjoyable day out and is particularly popular with families. The landscaped grounds and animal encounters made it a memorable experience.
🍊 Discovering the Municipal Market
To experience a more authentic side of Cyprus, I spent time exploring the Paphos Municipal Market. Here you'll find local produce, handmade crafts and traditional souvenirs. It was a great opportunity to support local businesses and pick up some unique gifts while experiencing everyday Cypriot life.
✈️ Final Thoughts
Cyprus truly offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking to relax by the pool, explore historic towns, enjoy family attractions, or indulge in some shopping, it's a destination that delivers on all fronts.
My stay at the Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa combined comfort, excellent service and a fantastic location, making it the perfect base for discovering everything the Paphos region has to offer.
