The new padel courts will be built at the Tarka Leisure Centre in Barnstaple, with the first public courts in North Devon expected to be a success.

So pleased to have received planning permission for a well deserved local needs dweĺing. This was always going to be difficult but fortunately we had a proactive planning officer that always make things easier. We got caught up in some legal hiccups but all sorted eventually. Another planning appeal allowed, this time for a timber building in a woodland. This is for the applicant to use it in conjunction with the woodland management as a business. The inspector recognised this as a business rather than a hobby business implied by the planning officer. A difficult application to prove but thanks to the applicant's business plan and my supporting statement we were successful.

Another planning appeal allowed, this time for a parking space outside the applicant's house. Refused by the planning officer on highway grounds that it was too close to a road. The inspector agreed with our case put forward. Congratulations to the applicant

Outline approval granted for a new dwelling. Close vote at plans committee with 5 to 4 in favour to approve. After a real emotional roller coaster we got there. So pleased for the applicant who is already progressing to the next stage with detailed drawings.

An influx of planning approvals is always good news for my clients. Ranging from Torbay, Teignbridge and Torrdge Councils. Gaining an extant permission for a new dwelling, secondary glazing in a listed building, a house extension as well as agricultural building and moving of a field shelter.
