Our pick for this week’s is Florence Tan!

Florence Tan is the Deputy Chief Technologist and the chair of the Small Spacecraft Coordination Group at NASA. Her interest in space began when she saw Star Trek re-runs on Malaysian TV in the mid-70s. From there Tan made her way to the US, studied Engineering at the University of Maryland and secured an internship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Since then, she has been instrumental in the exploration and study of Mars while volunteering in schools to encourage students to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics 🚀
