Having previously covered the theoretical properties and uses of acids in class, students entered the laboratory to conduct experiments that reinforced their understanding.

Linday International School Year 4 and Year 5 students participated in a laboratory practical on acids this week.

Having previously covered the theoretical properties and uses of acids in class, students entered the laboratory to conduct experiments that reinforce their understanding.

Learning objectives of the session included:
- Observing the physical properties of common acids
- Conducting safe, controlled tests to identify acidic substances
- Recording observations and drawing conclusions from experimental data
- Applying classroom theory to practical investigation

This session forms part of our integrated approach to science education, where theoretical knowledge is consolidated through hands-on experimentation in a supervised environment.
