π¨ APPEAL FOR INFORMATION β STOLEN TRAFFIC LIGHT EQUIPMENT π¨
On Monday 4th May 2026, traffic light / pedestrian crossing equipment was stolen from two Headway Traffic Management sites in the Dudley / Cradley Heath area.
Sites affected:
95 Saltwells Road, Dudley, DY2 0BJ (W3W: fruit.happy.flat) β approx. 9.17pm
69 Reddal Hill Road, Cradley Heath, B64 5JT (W3W: grows.silver.card) β time unknown
We believe the incidents may be linked.
Please see attached footage. The footage shows the culprits in full PPE in a traffic management-spec vehicle, entering our closure at Saltwells Road and removing our equipment. The trackers were disabled shortly after. Given the traffic management-spec vehicle, full PPE and apparent knowledge of the equipment, we believe the culprits are likely to be traffic management employees, operatives, or acting on behalf of a traffic management company. We are currently working on several leads.
The stolen lights are distinctive to Headway. The lids are made of galvanised steel and painted bright yellow, which is unusual and should make them recognisable even if stickers or markings have been removed.
We are asking for help from the public, local residents, businesses, delivery drivers, taxi drivers, dashcam users, and anyone who may have been in either area on the evening of 04/05/2026. If you have CCTV, Ring doorbell footage, dashcam footage, or saw anything suspicious, please contact us urgently.
We are also asking local traffic management companies, contractors and operatives to urgently check vehicle movements, tracker records, job sheets and staff movements for the evening of 04/05/2026. If a company vehicle has been used without authority, or if operatives have acted independently, please contact us directly so the police can pursue the relevant parties and remove your company from enquiries.
If you have any information, or have been offered traffic light equipment with bright yellow galvanised steel lids, please contact Headway Traffic Management Ltd urgently.
Please share.
