Did you know there's an animation social in Birmingham? 👀

Overlap Social is heading to The Crossing, Digbeth for a night of animators and animation lovers showcasing their work, sharing ideas and hanging out!

Each quarter there is an optional prompt. If it’s interesting, entertaining or well-made they will consider showing it! Animations from 1 second long can be submitted.

Why not head down and catch some wonderful animation on the big screen! 📺

Last week we were lucky enough to be apart of 'Open for Business' by Infinite Opera 🎶

Stoford Ltd. and Grand Union commissioned ‘Open for Business’ to mark the redevelopment of the Tea Factory, Typhoo Wharf.

Ever thought about dipping your toe into all things Graffiti Art?

It will be led by experienced and respected graffiti artist David (Panda) Brown who has over 30 years experience as a street artist.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to handle spray cans, sketch out street style lettering and paint your own physical piece of street art work under expert guidance in Birmingham’s street art capital Digbeth.

There are only 20 places available at the bargain price of £25 a ticket.

Speaker announcement! 📣

Kristina Hall will be joining us for our Rise and Shine networking morning on Thursday 10th September ✨

Kristina Hall is an arts producer and community artist whose work centres on creating spaces for creativity, connection and participation.

Working across arts, culture and events, she develops projects that bring artists and communities together, from exhibitions and creative programmes to workshops and live events.

Kristina currently works as Training & Development Producer at China Plate Theatre, alongside an independent creative practice spanning producing, curation and participatory arts.

Her recent projects include Common Ground, an independently curated group exhibition right here at Zellig bringing together 30 artists and makers from Birmingham and the Black Country, and Make Your Mark, a participatory arts project using walking, place and natural materials as starting points for creative exploration.
