What a way to kick off.

We really enjoyed the conference with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce

Throughout the day, guest speakers shared perspectives on topics including:

The GBCC’s Growth Through People conference aims to help organisations across the region increase productivity by employing the latest techniques to getting the most out of your biggest asset – your people.

It really was a great day, packed with valuable insights from the speakers and panels. ⭐️👌

Curium’s Anne Clews joined us to deliver a segment on coaching CODE, a tool used to support a guide others though structured coaching.

Limited following the completion of Mark Stansfeld’s highly-successful two-term tenure.

Tracy joined WM5G’s Board in September 2019 – a position she has used to champion the benefits of technology for people and businesses across the West Midlands.

Tracy shared:

“I’m delighted to have been appointed as Chair of WM5G Limited. As a director since 2019 I’ve seen the company go from strength to strength under Mark’s leadership. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!

What a great opportunity for leaders from various industries and backgrounds to come together and share insights on the thing that affects us all, The Future of Work.

We discussed everything from the impact Covid had and how we still haven’t really figured out what that means for our people.

To, the future generations and what businesses need to attract and retain talent.

So, what are business needing to do to satisfy the diversity and demands of the existing and up and coming workforce?

Business of the year awards TheBusinessDesk.com 🏆

Some of our team went along to represent Curium at the Business Desks annual award ceremony for the West Midlands.

It was a fantastic event, great food, great atmosphere and partnered with a great cause.

Funds raised went to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity who are responsible for funding and operating three air ambulance helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars serving the communities of six midlands counties.

Since 1991, they have responded to more than 74,000 missions, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK. 🚁

Studies have consistently shown that poor leadership negatively impacts team culture.

Research published in the Harvard Business Review found that employees who rated their managers poorly were 4 X more likely to be disengaged.

It can also have a significant impact on business income and performance. 💰

Research conducted by Gallup has shown that organisations with engaged employees outperform those with disengaged employees by up to 202%.

The Center for American Progress estimates that replacing an employee can cost businesses up to 213% of the departed employee’s salary. 😐
