For over 160 years Gale & Co has been the premier frame makers and picture restorers in Birmingham, manufacturing frames from 59 Moor St for 100 years, then in 1959 moving to 12 Lee Bank Business centre Holloway Head, where we have over 4000 sq ft of light, airy, spacious and clean workshops enabling us to carry substantial stocks of mouldings, frames and mount boards, working on large, practical

benches using modern cutting equipment and
first class materials. We have a highly experienced, expert work force and retain a fundamental knowledge of the
way things should be done, and – importantly to the appropriate and correct style for your works of art - essentially keeping up to date with contemporary developments while reaching back right into the early 18th century. We carry a stock of over 800 moulding patterns, mostly factory finished, sourced from manufacturers at home and Europe - the rest being of bare timber - which are used as natural wood or for gilding and hand finishing. For early works, we carry a comprehensive stock of period and antique frames which we can date and marry correctly with customers’ pictures.
