Project: Clean Crew & Co

Client:
Clean Crew & Co is a small team of cleaners who, during the COVID-19 lockdown, offered commercial and domestic cleaning services whilst adhering to strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Brief:
The client didn't have anything in mind just that she wanted to appear "classy but modern". We determined it needed to appeal to a wide target market; both commercial and domestic clients.

Logo:
I came up with more than 20 options, which I short-listed down to 5 that I presented to the client. She picked an option in which the icon mark depicted the team with cleaning tools. The design was actually inspired by the Charlie's Angels silhouette symbol. The company name, presented in a modern heavy condensed sans serif typeface, could be placed alongside or underneath the icon.

Project: Bright Style Home Improvements

Client:
Bright Style Home Improvements was a new company started by a terrific salesman I was introduced to at a networking event. His background was in sales and finance and had already successfully started a couple of payday loan and finance companies.

Brief:
The client wasn’t a fan of technology or the internet, but he did see the importance of having a web presence to refer customers to, so he asked me if I could create a website for him. Since the company was brand new he also needed a brand identity and branded marketing too.

Logo:
The company name was set from the beginning and thankfully evoked some strong and positive imagery to try out. The client chose one from my first round of ideas. (See logo development graphic and final logo graphic)

Presentation pack:
When visiting customers the client wanted to bring with him a presentation pack to use as a visual aid whilst delivering his sales pitch; sort of like a printed PowerPoint presentation. It was around 30 pages, half sales material and half photos of work examples.

Website:
The website brief was quite simple. "Doesn’t need to be complicated or clever. Just a professional-looking site to point customers to when asked." Using compelling photography, evidencing industry-standard certification, customer testimonies wrapped in a few micro animations, I created a comprehensive home page, a page showing examples of previous jobs and a contact page.

Project: The Essentials Beauty Salon

Client:
The Essentials Beauty Salon is located in a suburb of Birmingham in the UK and started life in the spare room of owner, proprietor, manager, and head therapist, Emma, at her family home when she was just 19.

Brief:
Emma asked me to create a business identity and a price list for the grand opening of her shop. As the salon grew quickly she soon needed special offer posters, promotional material, gift vouchers and a website. I have produced and still produce promo, event, and marketing material she needs.

Logo:
The logo is a wordmark is the Salon name in Bauhaus Std Medium typeface in a striking pink/magenta color. The icon mark is a lowercase letter e in Businko Regular, tilted 25° often, but not always, positioned slightly off-center in a container box.

Stationery:
Company business card, personal business card, letter-headed paper.

Marketing:
Price list, treatment menu booklet, promotional material eg posters, leaflets, adverts and editorials for local news publications

Website:
The website was, at first, simply an online treatment menu with prices. As the business grew extra functionality has been added to the site, such as; online booking then social media links, and most recently live chat via a Facebook Messenger widget.

Hey guys. I've been working on adding a portfolio page to my website for some time now. A few weeks ago I decided I needed to scrap the whole thing and start again and a couple of days ago I binned the old site and uploaded the new one.

I recently completed another website. This one is for London based Driver Recruitment company Eleven 37. They are a new company and they help place drivers in suitable roles.

The brief called for a new logo and house style, website and email signature.
