A lot of business advice is designed for people who want to look successful.

Big numbers, big launches, big energy.

That’s not what we build here.

When your energy is limited, you can’t afford to build for show. Every decision has to earn its place. Your hours, your model, your marketing, your workload. It all has to actually work, not just look like it does.

That’s what makes slow business so solid. It’s not built around a good month or a viral post. It’s built around what’s still standing when life gets hard.

Built to last, not to impress ♥️✨

Setting up and running a business that fits around your health, your energy, and your actual life isn’t a pipe dream. It’s exactly what The Slow Business Method is built for.

An 8-week programme for women with fluctuating energy who want income that works around real life, not the other way around. Designed specifically for women living with CFS/ME, fibromyalgia, ADHD, autism, AuDHD, disability, or parenting and caring responsibilities.

If this is what you’ve been looking for, comment INTERESTED and I’ll send the details straight to your DMs, or click the link in my bio to find out more.

The text overlay reads: The Slow Business Method For women with low energy levels and high ambition. The Slow Business Method is an 8-week course for women with fluctuating energy who want income that fits around real life. CFS/ME is one of the most misunderstood conditions out there, and one of the loneliest, because so much of it can seem invisible (until you know what to look for).

If you have it, you already know everything I’m saying here - like me, you live it. But if someone in your life has CFS/ME, I hope this helps you understand a little more of what their day actually looks like, even on a “good” one. You don’t need to have the right words. You just need to believe them, and that matters more than most people realise.

Visual description
A series of clips of Emm, a cis white woman in her 50s with long blonde hair, filmed in various outfits, relaxed and expressive in manner. Bold text overlays appear on each clip in sequence. The text overlays read: CFS/ME isn’t just being tired… It’s waking up after 10 hours and feeling like you didn’t sleep at all It’s cancelling plans you were genuinely looking forward to It’s doing one normal thing and needing to lie down afterwards It’s explaining yourself to people who don’t believe you It’s having to ration your energy like it’s a limited resource (because it is) It’s knowing exactly what will cause a crash and doing the maths before every decision It’s looking fine on the outside while running on empty on the inside It’s being told you just need to push through by someone who has no idea It’s wanting to work, wanting to contribute, and having to stop before you’re ready If someone you love has CFS/ME, the best thing you can do is believe them

Building a business isn’t easy. But it’s not as hard as crashing out working for someone else.

I spent years in work environments that had no room for the reality of my body and brain. Fixed hours, fixed expectations, and the unspoken rule that you just keep going regardless of what’s happening. That cost me a lot.

Running your own business isn’t without its challenges, but you get to build it around your life and specific circumstances, not the other way around. And that changes everything.

If that lands for you, you’re in the right place.

The text overlay reads:
Building a business isn’t easy but it’s not as hard as crashing out working for someone else. Make 2026 the year work stops damaging your health.

Rest isn’t earned. It’s how you stay in the game.

Society has us thinking rest has to be earned, that you have to get s**t done first and recover later. But when your energy is limited, that takes us out altogether.

Rest and recovery is part of the work. It’s what makes everything else possible. And building a business that actually accounts for that is one of the most strategic things you can do.

It what I teach, it’s what I do in my own business, and it’s the only way for most of us with a chronic illness, disability, neurodivergence or caregiving responsibilities.

I’d love to hear what you think about this…

The text overlay reads:
Don’t forget to recharge your battery. Rest isn’t earned. It’s How You Stay In The Game

I'm a finalist at The UK Small Business Awards 2026 for Best Business Branding, and honestly this one means a lot to me ❤️

My branding was created with my best friend, who is an incredibly talented designer. It wasn't handed to a corporate agency or built to fit a template. It was built to actually look like me, bright, colourful, a little bit chaotic in the best way, and with enough dry wit baked in that you'd know it was mine without seeing my name on it.

Seeing that recognised feels genuinely lovely. So thank you to everyone who has ever said "your branding is so you" because apparently the judges agree! 😄

Drop a 🎉 in the comments if you're cheering me on!
